Chapter 1 - A Thrust into Lust

[LOCATION: ???] [TIME:00:00]

On a small, usually empty hill on the outskirts of a small town lay a lone male figure.

Wearing a regular insulated black and yellow jacket to keep warm, alongside thick woolly black gloves, with matching long pants and contrasting white shoes at the bottom.

The grass covering the entire hill is slightly frosted at the tips, a result from the time of year being winter. Yet despite that, there remains a patch of blooming flowers circling around the bottom of the hillside.

Cold as the temperature in the outside area may be, the figure keeps their face uncovered as they lay on their back in the sea of whitish green foliage.

A head of generic dark black hair, decorated with scattered golden strands of bleached hair around the bangs, framing the face displaying an expression of exhaustion with large black circles under the eyes.

Yet under the layer of exhaustion remains a visible glint of contentment and nostalgia within, as the hazel coloured irises star into the cosmic blanket of stars covering the sky as far as the eye is capable of seeing.

It is the expression of a person finally getting a break after an indescribable amount of time in a monotonous lifestyle consisting of nothing but identically repeating days.

The bright moonlight illuminates the surroundings thoroughly as the lack of even the slightest bit of water vapor being present results in the sky being completely spotless of clouds. Allowing the world to flaunt the beauty of the starry night sky freely.

Their eyes trace the patterns, and identify them as familiar constellations.

Orion, with its brightest star Rigel. Named after the hunter in Greek mythology that shares the same name. The stars appear most brightly during this time of year while also never being visible at the same time as the constellation Scorpius.

Taurus, with its brightest star Aldebaran and a bordering cluster of stars called the Pleiades. Named after the sacred bull which sprouted from the various bull figures in different mythologies.

And the constellation their eyes seem to constantly drift back to look at without truly moving their vision towards it.

Auriga, the charioteer. With its brightest star that just seems to always flicker slightly when their gaze lands on it, Capella. The star Capella is in actuality a cluster of 4 stars that orbit each other in sets of 2, creating one large golden one that shines brighter than the rest.

How nice it is to casually read the dots in the sky for patterns with so much history, away from the tiring school and work every day. Where I never get any change or excitement in life, never any chance to really do what I want to do, not even another person from whom I could give or seek affection to the point they burst.

A small line of light forms in the corner of his eye, small and thin yet still visible in the dark background behind it.

A shooting star… well more specifically a bit of rock burning in the atmosphere, but it's much cooler to believe its a real ball of plasma flying through space.

Might as well make a wish… I don't really want anything grand, just a bit more excitement or just a bit of platonic love would be fine… maybe I should just get a cat?

The streak of light behind the meteoroid seemed to glow brighter for a split second, before complete burning up in the atmosphere.

No, I'm just tired…

They make an attempt to sit up, placing their arms on the wet grass behind them and pushing forwards, only for their hands to slip on the slick blades of greenery and come crashing back down.

Letting out a small sigh, they don't attempt to get up again, opting to remain lying sprawled out across the ground.

Their eyes briefly trace over the beautiful sky once more, soaking in the view for as long as they can on this rare occasion.

Light pollution paired with constant bad weather always made it very difficult to even catch a glimpse of the stars while at home, not even mentioning the very rare days where they don't have homework or late shifts to be doing.

The tension from the crash landing completely dissipates. His body sinking into the ground while a wave of pure exhaustion crashes into their already tired state.

The shiny dots reflecting in their eyes slowly disappear as their eyelids droop halfway closed, only remaining open due to sheer willpower of not wanting this moment to end.

The last flicker of strength fully dissipates and they quickly start falling into unconsciousness.

Futile attempts to keep their mind active through repeating constellations and stars fails to work, their thoughts echoing in their dimming thought progress.

Gemini, Orion, Alderbaran, Taurus… Auriga…

…Capella…

In tandem with their last though, a small dot of white shines brightly through their closed eyelids.

Everything fades black as they feel their consciousness and body sink.

[Shizuoka Prefecture, Musutafu, Yamada Hospital]

A visibly exhausted woman lays on a medical bed, her already face even more flushed, eyes dilated as she breathes hoarsely from a long time of screaming her lungs out.

Her abdomen remains covered in external sensors that constantly deliver feedback to a heart monitor at the side of her bed.

At the opposite side sits a man on a chair, his face showing visible relief, both at the situation and that his crushed hand was let free from the death grip of his wife.

The wife's skin is bright pink, with dark purple hair framing a face with 2 uniquely coloured eyes containing red irises with what would usually be referred to as the white of the eye being completely black.

Her husband has an appearance just as strange as his wife. His hair is not the usual thin strands that are normally present on people but instead is a bundle of yellow octopus tentacles wrapped around each other to mimic human hair.

A yaeba present in his top row of teeth accidentally punctured through his lip when he was biting it at the time of his hand being violated by a smaller one with pink skin.

A line of already dried blue blood is visible coming from his lower lip and ending at his chin, with the wound it originates from already being sealed.

In an adjacent room is a duo of nurses constantly moving back and forth between 2 tables, on one lay a multitude of tools used for monitoring health conditions spread out across it being grabbed one after another.

On the other lay a strangely calm baby girl, a single cartoonish golden ahoge standing tall at the very top of its head while its bright ruby eyes observe the tools approaching it with curiosity.

One of the nurses puts back a stethoscope and grabs a pen from a nearby cup to write on a notepad.

"Breathing normally but not crying, is she just naturally calm then?"

The other nurse who is standing in front of the baby and poking at its feet and hands with her index finger replies back without looking.

"Probably, happens more often these days due to the growing amount of intelligence quirks, especially ones that cause mutations from birth."

At the word mutation, the first nurse's eyes flicker back to the newborn wrapped in a blanket like a burrito.

"Not every day you see a baby girl with balls."

A small snort escapes both their noses at the joke, referencing the 2 small black ball mutations that are attached to the lower back of the infant.

The nurse who had poked at the baby's stubby limbs finished writing on the shared notepad and gave a satisfied hum at the note.

"Apgar score passed with flying colours, perfectly healthy to go back to the mother's arms for a while."

The small bundle is picked up gently and shifted around till placed in a comfortable position and taken back into the delivery room, where the mother still lays exhausted.

The nurse approaches with a gentle smile on her lips.

"Lugunica-san, there is good news and even better news."

The mother looks over, breathing at a more regular rate yet still heavier, eyes glinting with anticipation.

"Well, there isn't a name for it yet, so you get to be the first to give it one."

The husband turns his head from where it was held in his hands and speaks in a deadpan tone as his face loses all mirth.

"Can you please make it sound like a baby and not a terminal illness?"

"It was funny."

"It was not."

"Boo– anyways Lugunica-san, we completed our usual tests and besides the quirk mutation on her back, your baby is completely healthy."

"How many times must I request our first names be used…"

The husband muttered under his breath. The wife eagerly holds out her arms in front of her, making grabby motions even as the nurse places the cloth bundle in her arms.

She gently placed the baby directly against her chest, staring down at the new life and imprinting the image permanently inside her mind.

The newborn's stubby small hands reach out to her with babbling noises accompanying them, causing the older woman to squeal quietly in consideration of her offspring.

Large ruby irises stare back at the woman's gleeful expression in wonder, observing the brand new surroundings around her with fascination.

The husband reaches out and strokes her cheek without the slightest bit of pressure as if in fear of damaging a priceless artifact, letting a giggle escape her mouth.

"So we're gonna be using that name then?" The husband says afterwards with a slight difference in tone than what his expression shows.

"Something wrong?" She replies back with a very sweet smile.

"It's a name from your rock collection." He says with a deadpan expression, showing no reaction to his wife's attempt at scaring him into submission.

"Its a good name!" She chides back with a pout forming on her lips.

Her gaze shifts back down to her arms and immediately brightens again.

"My little Emerada."

__AUTHOR NOTES__

Decided to just make the fic more like the other MHA ones you may see on this site, I made the original with no plan in mind and didn't manage to find a way to progress it in a way I like.

I mostly just wanted to write something like this as a challenge to write 1.5k- 2k words daily for a chapter

All my knowledge of MHA comes from the rewatch im currently doing (still on season 1) and around 4 different fanfictions ive read so there might be inconsistencies
