Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Blood Boiling

Lucas rolled his neck, producing a series of sharp cracking sounds.

At this moment, there was not only rage in his eyes, but also a flicker of exhilaration born from battle.

It had been a long time since he had truly cut loose. Recently, the opponents he encountered were either fragile humans or pitifully weak mechanical constructs.

But now—

Weren't these mutant flying dragons the perfect punching bags?

Those solid, heavy blows from moments earlier had already awakened the Saiyan blood deep within Lucas.

A sensation like boiling hot blood surged through his body, igniting his fighting spirit and driving his battle lust ever higher.

Kro, on the other hand, had also noticed Lucas's arrival.

However, he believed the three mutant flying dragons were more than enough to deal with the situation, so he continued torturing and draining Ikaris.

Those humans being rescued meant nothing to him. In his eyes, the Eternals were the finest nourishment—and his true enemies.

Lucas advanced step by step toward the three flying dragons, naked killing intent radiating from his gaze.

"I hope you can last a little longer."

As for Ikaris being tortured? Lucas couldn't care less. Once Carrie was safely away, all he wanted was a satisfying fight—whether the world collapsed afterward was irrelevant.

The next instant, Lucas launched forward explosively.

The concrete beneath his feet shattered as his body shot out like a bullet, instantly appearing in front of one of the mutant flying dragons.

With his Ki flaring violently, his faintly glowing fist slammed into the head of the dragon he had already battered once before.

Caught completely off guard, the creature had half its skull blown apart by a single punch.

Lucas showed no restraint.

Raising both arms, he fired two fully condensed energy waves from his palms.

The other two flying dragons, just beginning their attack, were struck head-on and blasted backward through the air.

"Strong regeneration, huh?" Lucas sneered at the half-headed dragon.

"Let's see whether you recover faster—or I destroy faster!"

Energy surged in his palm, and a charged blast erupted in a flash of blinding light.

In the next instant, the terrifying annihilation force completely swallowed half of the creature's body.

With a flicker of control, Lucas condensed his Ki into the shape of a cleaver in his hand.

He spun and charged the second flying dragon.

Before it could even resist, Lucas brought the blade down in a single clean motion, slicing the creature into pieces.

Another powerful energy blast followed, reducing the fragments to nothing but dust.

Lucas then turned his gaze to the final flying dragon.

The intense killing intent in his eyes made the creature shudder violently.

After less than two seconds of hesitation, it turned and fled straight toward Kro, howling for help.

Seeing his subordinate rushing toward him in panic, Kro was forced to interrupt the absorption process and retract the tendrils embedded in Ikaris.

But before the fleeing dragon could reach him, a brilliant streak of light caught up from behind and swallowed it whole like a colossal beast.

Kro frowned as he watched the incoming Ki blast. Opening his mouth, blue-white energy rapidly gathered in his throat.

A beam of the same blue-white energy shot out, colliding directly with the incoming attack.

The violent collision instantly melted the ground at the impact point as if exposed to extreme heat.

Shockwaves ripped outward, flinging rubble into nearby vehicles.

The stones struck with such force that they pierced straight through metal car bodies like bullets.

By this point, police and firefighters had already evacuated all the children from the school.

Classes had ended some time ago, and many students had already left or been picked up by their parents.

Coupled with the fact that Kro had not immediately attacked civilians upon arrival, the area was now completely deserted.

When the two energy blasts detonated, a massive explosion followed.

The ground trembled violently, like a magnitude six or seven earthquake.

Cracks spread across nearby buildings and walls, some already on the verge of collapse.

Kro grabbed Ikaris by the leg, preparing to retreat.

Absorbing this Eternal first would greatly increase his power—he could deal with these detestable humans later.

But just as Kro was about to leave, a shadow suddenly appeared before him.

"Did I say you could go?" Lucas asked coldly.

Whoosh!

In the blink of an eye, Lucas was already in front of Kro, his fist tearing through the air as it slammed toward him.

Kro's heart jolted. Abandoning escape, he raised his own fist to meet the attack.

Boom!

Compressed air detonated as their fists collided, producing a deep, thunderous impact.

The shattered ground beneath them erupted, debris blasted into the air.

"Now this is satisfying!" Lucas laughed loudly, launching another barrage of punches.

With every explosive exchange, Kro realized in horror that he could only defend—there was no opening to counterattack.

Lucas's strikes flowed endlessly, relentless like a raging current, granting Kro no room to breathe.

And as the assault continued, Kro was driven steadily backward.

"Come on—fight back already!" Lucas shouted.

Lucas suddenly paused.

Seizing the moment, Kro threw a punch and unleashed a swarm of tendrils from his back.

Lucas relaxed his fist into an open palm and caught Kro's punch effortlessly.

The ten spear-like tendrils struck his outer Ki layer with metallic clangs, failing to break through his defense.

The next instant, Kro felt a terrifying force yank his arm forward, pulling his body off balance and straight toward Lucas.

Boom!

A brutal knee strike smashed into Kro's abdomen.

If not for the difference in height, the blow would have shattered his face.

Punch followed punch—each faster and heavier than the last.

Lucas's Ki flared brighter with every strike, his power climbing continuously.

If a battle scanner were present, it would show Lucas's combat power rising without pause—showing no sign of stopping.

Kro was reeling, his mind spinning as pain wracked his entire body.

Without his formidable regenerative ability, he would have collapsed long ago.

"RAAAHH!!"

Finally, Kro snapped.

With a furious roar, brilliant blue-white energy erupted from his body.

A hemispherical energy barrier instantly formed, engulfing Lucas before expanding outward to a radius of dozens of meters.
