The others looked at him with guilt because they really forgot about him
"Don't make a fuss, just come and sit down" Mu Ling scolded softly
"Second brother come and sit beside me" Su Xier said gesturing to the seat next to her, she really liked this her second brother
"Sure little sis" he replied happily showing a smug expression to his brothers whose faces had turned dark.
" Okay let's start eating" Mu Linfeng announced. They all kept piling up Su Xier plate with plenty of food
"Please stop putting more food in my plate I really can't eat any longer" Su Xier pleaded
"Fine" they all said in chorus. After they were done eating they went to the living room where they inquired about her life with her adoptive parents.
"Well my life could be considered good but everything was fake " she said, her family caught the word 'fake'. She didn't keep them in suspense she told them about the Su family's lies and deceit.
"Sis I heard that you're already married so where is your husband" Mu Xiao asked, immediately they all turned her to her for answers then they remembered that they hid that part from Ling Rui so they all turned to Ling Rui and and as expected her reaction bad "What! You're already married and nobody told me about this" Ling Rui Shrieked
"Rui you need to calm down" Mu Linfeng said
"You want me to calm down? She's just 20 and she's already married so how do you expect me to calm down" Ling Rui with red eyes asked loudly, the Mu brothers faces didn't also look good either they had the same thought as their mother.
"I'm already divorced" Su Xier who was silent finally spoke
"What!!!" They all said in chorus
"How dare that scoundrel get a divorce" Mu Ling said gnashing his teeth
"Yes how did he dare to divorce you" Mu Linfeng said agreeing with his eldest son
"Is it that obvious that he divorced me and not the other way round" Su Xier teased. Mu Ling and his father immediately cleared their throats awkwardly because from their investigations she was clearly infatuated with her husband
"What happened to your marriage" Ling Rui asked bringing them back to the topic. She explained everything that transpired between them, how she lost the baby, how hard it will be for her to conceive and how they finally divorced.
"I was too young and naive, the Su family encouraged me to get married to him quickly so that it will benefit their company" She said calmly but she felt bitter in her heart when she finished Ling Rui was already sobbing silently.
"I'm feeling embarrassed today and it's okay if you don't want me here, by the way I will be a stain to your good reputation" she said, nervously waiting for their response
"What nonsense are you spouting, so what if you're divorced we can still find you an ideal husband and if you don't get married we can still afford to take care of you forever" Ling Rui reassured her confidently
"Your mother is right, no matter what you are still my daughter and a member of this family and this is your house, your home" Mu Linfeng added
"Don't consider yourself a stain you're our treasure and our little princess" Mu Ling said, seeing all of them trying to console her she was so touched that she burst into tears
"I'm so sorry, it's Mummy's fault for losing you and making you pass through all of this. I won't let you get hurt like this again it's Mummy's and Daddy's promise to you" Ling Rui said hugging her daughter, Ling Rui words made Su Xier cry even harder.
"Thank you for accepting me" she said after calming herself down
"There's no need for thank you because we're family don't ever look down on your self you are a daughter of the Mu family" Ling Rui said, reminding her if her original identity.
