As they walk through the misty woods for like half a hour, the long haired figure finally meets up with the group of 3 samurais. The figure looks at them with anticipation and the samurai in the middle speaks with a tone that indicates pure fear and nervousness:
– Y-You a-a-are... y-Ho—
– Horie K-Kohaku, the one in the left completes, clearly tense and ready to act at any time now. Horie lets out a low chuckle and affirms calmly:
– Indeed, that's me... I heard you want to invade my territory, and I sure as hell won't allow it...
The samurais stand tense, and one of them clenches his sword tight and yells as he starts rushing towards Horie. The long haired boy grips his giant Katana and mutters "you fool..." as he swings his sword, slicing the first samurai in half, his upper body falling down and the blood and guts spilling out from the shell and the lower body falling down too afterwards. The other two samurais stand shocked at the scene as they start sweating, they seriously don't know what to do so they rush towards Horie but he quickly penetrates the ground with the Katana, clings on the pommel and kicks the two other samurais in the faces, pulls out his Katana and rolls around, killing the two warriors as well and turning them into bloody pieces as his own blade is covered in blood. Horie looks down at his blade and then the severed corpses.
– Disgusting... He mutters.
Meanwhile, Unit 3 finally enters the forest, which is intertwined with the Death Mist woods. As they walk in, Rika, with her usual crazy charisma and decides to ask:
– Miss Yano... can I use my rituals against the demons?~
– You use black magic? She asks, tilting her head by the side as she looks at Rika with a smirk on her face, and then agrees, Well of course you can, there is no limit on killing a demon as long as you are not reckless! But for now, I will be taking the lead and show you all how to kill a demon and how dangerous they can be if you are not cautious.
– We understand! Chiyo concludes, nodding.
They end up encountering a low-tier demon and they get in a tense stance, it was obviously red, with horns and it looked like a very skinny figure, it's eyes were almost red from hunger and it's smile was wide and fierce as teeths were revealed and drool was dripping from it's mouth, rushing towards them with the intent of killing and eating them. The unit looks disgusted, but Yano was confident as usual; she pulls out her sword and swings it diagonally, killing the demon with no effort. The children were standing there speechless, shocked at how strong their teacher was while her grin grew wider and starts explaining.
– As you have seen, it has tried to kill me but it acted recklessly, that's what Low tier demons are... now if we would to meet a High tier demon... although they are created out of pure malice and blood lust, they are able to strategize and manipulate their enemies...
The students are shocked and impressed by the realization of the true nature of demons. As they keep walking even deeper in the woods, their surroundings are slowly getting misty, and before they know it, they find themselves facing a high tier demon and another demon who had as replacement for his hands some blades. Them both looked menacing, the demons having human like figures, but thwir skins being red instead. The other demon with the blades was actually The 3rd Blade Demon, one of the most known demons due to it's rumors talked in Shainihebun. The high tiers lowly laugh to each other and the creature without the blades talks:
– Well, would you look at that... We got ourselves 6 meals for the night, and they sure look tasty too... more women and children rather than men... this will be so good...
– Unit 3! Stay back and hide! We are against a high tier demon and the 3rd Blade Demon! Yano shouts with a worried tone, making the children hide. She pulls out again her blade and jumps towards the demon first, but before she reaches to slice it, The Blade Devil appears in front of the woman and kicks her straight in the face, smacking her right into a tree.
Blood pours down from Yuno's nose and the children stand still, too scared to move, before they could try anything, the superior demon uses some kind of spell to manipulate their bodies and lift them up in the air, just to knock them on the ground. Orochi slowly tries moving but he can't and Chiyo uses one of her crystal techniques to no avail, some crystals forming through the ground to catch the two demons but failing because the trap was too small and predictable.
Etsuko, due to her being physically gifted, gets up with endurance, pulls out her club and reaches the blade demon, whacking him with her weapon into a tree, but she doesn't get to do anything else that the other creature extends it's hand like rubber and pins her by a tree, rips his own hand and regenerates it.
The creatures slowly walk towards the children, ready to kill them but before anything can happen, unexpectedly, the high grade demon's head falls off and gets killed brutally by getting it's body sliced in half. The Blade Demon gets shocked and paralyzed as he senses a dangerous presence, he wasn't able to move, feeling looked down on with hateful eyes beyond his expectations. The demon slowly turns gray and fades away into ashes, and the killer behind this was actually the long haired figure... Horie Kohaku...
Etsuko and Yano were the only ones to witness his arrival since the other ones fell unconscious as it seems, probably from exhaustion. Horie walks towards Etsuko, frees her from the hand, and they end up staring at each other in silent, he looks at her for like ten seconds and then walks away. Etsuko tries getting up and calling him out, but he ignores her and gets absorbed by the fog.
