Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Fellow Countrymen Meeting Fellow Countrymen!

"This environment seems somewhat desolate! It looks like what little friend Qin Yan said is true. Long ago, a cataclysmic disaster really did strike Planet Namek. For it to still affect the world after several hundred years... one can hardly imagine the terrifying scenes Namek went through back then."

Looking at the somewhat desolate scenery around him, Kami let out a sigh filled with the weight of time.

Turquoise grass, scattered shrubs, strange plants, and a few extremely rare trees dotted the landscape. Even animals were a rare sight on the ground. Namek's landmass was relatively small, so the planet was mostly comprised of islands.

As far as the eye could see, there were interconnected lakes and island after island. Because there were three suns in the sky, there was never a night on Namek. All year round, every day was breezy and sunny.

A gentle breeze caressed the soft blue grass, creating ripples like rolling waves. Kami took a deep breath of the fresh air, feeling cool and comfortable. He enjoyed this beautiful moment with a soft, mesmerized expression.

Liya was also curiously observing everything around her, though she didn't speak. Instead, she sat down on a small protruding dirt slope, her hands propping up her slightly puffed-out cheeks. Her large, sparkling eyes stared blankly at the grass, lost in thought.

"I wonder when little friend Qin Yan will arrive?" Kami glanced at Liya sitting on the ground before looking toward the distant horizon with a warm smile.

Little Liya paused for a moment but remained silent, waiting quietly. Seeing this, Kami also stopped talking and continued to gaze at the scenery of his homeland, waiting with her for Qin Yan's arrival.

Suddenly.

With a swish, a figure appeared beside Liya. It was Qin Yan, arriving via Instant Transmission.

"Brother Qin Yan!"

The moment Qin Yan appeared, little Liya felt his presence and jumped up, looking at him with joy.

"Little friend Qin Yan!" Upon seeing him, Kami's eyes lit up. He was inwardly amazed by Qin Yan's abilitiesto be able to cross the vast starry sky in an instant was truly remarkable. He gave a kind smile.

"Mm..." Qin Yan nodded with a smile toward Liya and Kami.

Looking at the surrounding mountains, waters, and turquoise grass, the somewhat desolate scenery was much like how the original anime described it. This was indeed Namek.

"So, Lord Kami, how do you feel?" Qin Yan asked with a smile.

"Haha! There is a sense of familiarity. Thank you, little friend Qin Yan," Kami replied with a hearty laugh.

"Think nothing of it. Alright, let's go meet the Namekians living here!"

After a brief exchange, Qin Yan sensed the energy on Namek. He could feel life signatures scattered across the planet that were similar to Kami's; these were surely the native inhabitants.

These Namekian auras were extremely few, totaling less than a hundred people. This was likely the result of the cataclysmic climate change Namek suffered hundreds of years ago. After that disaster, many of Namek's original flora and fauna went extinct, and only a tiny number of Namekians survived, gathered in small tribal groups.

Qin Yan sensed a small group of Namekian auras just a few dozen kilometers away. Since the distance was short, he decided to check it out first. He pointed toward the southeast and said slowly, "There are some Namekians gathered about a few dozen kilometers in that direction. Let's head over and take a look!"

"Alright!" Kami and Liya both nodded.

"Kami, I'll carry you as we fly over." At such a short distance, flying would only take a few minutes, so Qin Yan didn't plan on using Instant Transmission. Because Kami was relatively weak and might fly slowly, Qin Yan decided to carry him on his back.

"Alright, I'll trouble you then, little friend Qin Yan." Kami knew his own capabilities and followed Qin Yan's lead to avoid delaying them.

Qin Yan nodded, hoisted Kami onto his back, and said to Liya, "Let's go!"

"Mhm!" Liya nodded.

With a boom, the two of them soared into the sky and flew toward the southeast. As Qin Yan flew, he noticed a lake every few kilometers or so. Before long, they reached the vicinity of the Namekian signatures. This was a plateau-like area with slightly more trees than elsewhere, though still not many.

"Brother Qin Yan, look!" Liya suddenly pointed forward with an exclamation.

Qin Yan looked in the direction she was pointing. Beneath a cliff were several white buildings shaped like loaves of bread. Qin Yan smiled; those were the Namekian houses.

"This..." Kami also saw them, a look of surprise crossing his face because the structures were very familiar to him.

"What is it, Kami? Do they look like the spaceship you had as a child?" Seeing his reaction, Qin Yan knew what he was thinking and asked with a slight smile.

"Exactly!" Kami said, his voice sounding older than usual.

"Haha! Those are just the houses Namekians live in," Qin Yan laughed as he explained.

"I see!" Kami realized. No wonder they looked so familiar.

As a child, Kami had wondered why his living environment and architecture were so unique. Now he realized he had simply inherited the Namekian lifestyle, which made him feel much more at ease.

Swish! Swish!

Qin Yan and the others landed smoothly right in front of the Namekian buildings. Ahead of them, several green-skinned people who looked similar to Kami were busy with their tasks. They were indeed Namekians.

The moment the Namekians saw Kami and Qin Yan appear, they dropped their work and stared, their eyes filled with curiosity and confusion. The leader, an older Namekian with sharp, wise eyes, watched Qin Yan and Kami with a hint of vigilance.

"Are these... my fellow countrymen?" Seeing the Namekians who looked so much like him, Kami felt a deep sense of kinship. He knew these were his people.

Kami's expression was agitated. In his eyes, which had been calm like an ancient well for hundreds of years, there was now a storm of emotion. For centuries, he had thought he was alone in the universe, without any family. Now, his heart was in turmoil. Excitement, joy, and bewilderment surged within him, leaving his feelings indescribably complex.

"There are so many Lord Kamis!" Liya looked from the Namekians to Kami and noticed they looked nearly identical, speaking up in curiosity.

This girl... Seeing Liya's adorable reaction, a faint smile played on Qin Yan's lips. He ignored her comment and turned his attention to the Namekians.

There were three elderly Namekians present. One of them looked familiar to Qin Yan; he looked just like a character from the original anime. It was Moori, the Second Elder of Namek, who would eventually succeed Grand Elder Guru as the second Grand Elder in the original story.

Qin Yan hadn't expected to be lucky enough to run into the next Grand Elder right away. Though Elder Moori looked aged, he wasn't quite as decrepit as he was when he first appeared in the original series.

At that moment, Elder Moori slowly walked toward them. Looking at the strangers, he asked, "May I ask who you all are...?"
