Jackie woke up as he sat upwards with his eyes blinking in confusion and fear as he looked around. He noticed that he was in a grassy field with flowers blooming from the cloudless sky. There was a dense forest far off with the leaves swaying in the cool breeze as the sickly sweet pollen was smelt from a long way. Jackie was wondering why and how did he get here, wasn't he supposed to be dead or in the hospital? Jackie soon asked himself quietly "Where am I?" Before he got up looking down at himself. He was wearing some sort of patched up rags with some shorts and soft boots on his feet. It did keep him cool under the heat as he decided to get up and see if anything else was interesting in the area. He noticed that the sun was up high as Jackie assumed it was mid-day.
"Wasn't I technically shot and someone died?" Jackie felt like his memory was scrambled a bit but he was sure that was exactly what had happened. He looked under the rags seeing that there was no bloody wounds or gunshots. Jackie looked surprised, even if the blood stopped leaking there should have been a fresh wound. He felt the grass first then pinched himself and grabbed a twig to see if this was a dream. It wasn't and it confused Jackie even further so he asked the question that has been on his mind the whole time "What's going on around here?" As he turned to the forest. He decided if he wanted to figure out what's going on, he should start looking around.
He got up adjusting the rags before deciding to walk inside of the forest, the sunlight was shining through brightly as it illuminated the area. There was a bunch of twigs and rough-shaped rocks embedded into the pathway as vines were clinging and curling around the bark of the trees as they made patterns like a designer. The soil was dry and a couple of insects crawled on the soil. Jackie looked curiously and in slight nervousness as he heard footsteps and what sounds to be people talking. Jackie hid behind the three as he saw two men that was middle-aged.
One of them had amber eyes and blue hair for some odd reason while the other person had grey hair and green eyes. Both of them were wearing chainmail armour and had shirts underneath. The one with the amber eyes had a wooden bracelet and had a tunic while the other had a orange belt that a pouch of money and a sword in one hand. They both looked at each other before one of them said in a language that Jackie thought that it was quite hard to understand but he could understand it "So? Did they ask for Linain herbs if I remember?" One of them asked as the other one nodded. "How far is the location?" The one with amber eyes asked the one with grey eyes said "A few mountains away or so." The blue haired guy didn't seem fazed that it was far off before saying "We have went into more far locations before, I'll say that we can go on." The other one nodded before they both left. Jackie got himself out of his hiding place as he wiped his head in relief just in case those people were threats.
Jackie looked around before deciding to go deeper into the forest. He was cautious, more than usual as his brown eyes looked around. He arrived at an large area where there was a hot spring. There was leaves and petals of flowers fallen into them as Jackie noticed the sign which said "Hot spring - healing priorities" As Jackie went on his knees and decided to wash his face as he felt refreshed afterwards. It cooled him from the heat as he got up as he walked through the bank of the hot spring area as he looked up seeing small whisps of clouds around. He heard a rustling noise nearby as he turned his face around to see what was in the bushes.
He saw something jump out of the bushes and it was a small wild cat. It barely reached his knees and had greyish fur with its curved claws coming out of it paws. It's orangish eyes looking around as it's tail flicked side by side. It sniffed the ground before going on the rocks. Jackie watched it grab a rather large bug in it's claws as it attempted to make sure it didn't squirm away. Jackie observed it as it grabbed the bug in it's mouth and bit it with large, sharp teeth. It got up on all fours as it went to look for other food.
Jackie got up feeling slightly warm from staying in one as he followed after the cat in curiosity as it went to a nest and began guarding its food. He turned around seeing something in the distance as he walked through the pathway feeling the heat. There was noises as he noticed bugs buzzing and flying...
