I couldn't help but notice the stamp marking Bianca's face, my eyes narrowing with concern. "What happened to your face?"

Bianca's hand flew to her cheek, as if she'd forgotten about it entirely, then let out a small sniffle.

"Lost a card game with them," she mumbled.

The stamp's dye was typically Coomassie brilliant blue—a protein marker notorious for being nearly impossible to scrub off. Once it stained skin, only the body's natural metabolic processes could gradually fade it. It would be weeks before it would completely vanish.

"I figured as much." The situation became crystal clear to me. "Don't gamble with them again."

"They totally cheated!" Bianca's voice rose with indignation.

"If you couldn't prove it, then they didn't cheat," I replied flatly.

Bianca's mouth fell open, clearly at a loss for words.

Dominic's approach interrupted our conversation, that familiar grin spreading across his face.

"So you're the infamous Dark Cobra?" he asked.
