At Niflheim's words, Louis couldn't help but smile bitterly. It truly felt as though his life held nothing but misfortune.
"Yes, that's right. I am screwed no matter what... but even then, I have to keep pushing forward," Louis said. "I think I understand why I obtained an Ability like Death-Sense. It exists to let me do things that would normally kill me, only so I can keep progressing. But even so, I wonder how many deaths I will have to endure before I can reach the same level as Soma and gain the power to stand against him... How many lives will that take..."
Louis was not delusional. He knew this world was born from despair. He knew that at some point he might die again. His knowledge of the game had helped enormously, but when a game became reality, too many variables shifted and everything grew far more unpredictable.
