BLOOD DOESN'T LIE
Elara couldn't sleep.
The nurse's words echoed in her head all night.
You were switched at birth.
It felt unreal. Like a badly written drama.
But deep down… something made sense.
The way she never fit in.
The way her past always felt borrowed.
Her phone buzzed.
Unknown number.
She hesitated… then answered.
"Miss Wynn," a man's voice said, "this is Dr. Keller from Saint Mary's Hospital. The DNA results are back."
Her heart stopped.
"…And?"
"You are biologically related to the Vale family," he said carefully.
"You are the true daughter."
Her knees weakened.
The phone slipped slightly in her hand.
"That means—" she whispered.
"Yes," he confirmed.
"Serena Vale is not."
Tears filled her eyes.
Not from happiness.
From shock.
From anger.
From everything stolen from her.
---
Police Station
Serena sat in a cold interrogation room, makeup smudged.
"This is harassment!" she screamed.
"I didn't do anything!"
An officer slid documents across the table.
"Fraud. Identity theft. Framing an employee. Bribery."
Her hands shook.
"You have evidence?" she scoffed.
The door opened.
Lucien walked in.
Her blood ran cold.
"You're done," he said quietly.
"You can't prove anything!" she shouted.
Lucien dropped the flash drive on the table.
"Evan confessed."
Her face drained.
"Traitor…" she whispered.
Tears fell.
"I didn't mean to hurt anyone," she cried.
"I just didn't want to lose my life."
Lucien stared coldly.
"You stole someone else's."

Elara Faces Herself
Elara stood by the window, staring at the city.
So this is my real world…
Her phone rang.
Lucien.
She hesitated… then answered.
"I know," he said softly.
"You're the real heiress."
Silence.
"You believed me?" she whispered.
"Yes," he said.
"I always did. I was just stupid."
She closed her eyes.
"Lucien… I don't know who I am anymore."
"Then find yourself," he replied.
"I'll wait."
She swallowed.
"…Don't."
Her voice broke.
"I need space."
He understood.
"I'll be here," he said.
"Always."
