At that moment, Carlo, biting his cigar, took a step forward without saying a word.

His eyes suddenly narrowed.

In an instant, a burst of black and red light erupted from his tall frame, sweeping across the hundreds of pirates charging forward.
The rapidly expanding orb of light carried a tangible pressure, crashing into the crowd like an invisible shockwave.

But in his eyes, Carlo's figure had already vanished.

Behind him, Carlo's fist exploded through the air, striking with fury.
Fist and elbow collided!
On the surface of Carlo's right fist, pitch-black Armament Haki flowed like liquid dark light, spreading from his arm to wrap around his knuckles as he smashed into the heavy armor covering Gan Sui's elbow.

A dull, heavy explosion erupted.
The armor, forged from high-strength alloy, shattered instantly under Carlo's fist.
Carlo's fist curved and drove straight through, sweeping aside several flying shards of armor as it continued toward the back of Gan Sui's head.
"Hmph! Naive!"
A cold sneer curled on Gan Sui's lips.
He didn't even seem to make a move.
But on those armor fragments shattered by Carlo's punch, a brilliant red light emerged, rapidly expanding before detonating with a roar!
The distance was too close; Carlo only had time to cross his arms in front of his chest to protect his head and face.
Boom, boom, boom!
Bursts of dazzling fire swallowed his figure.
At almost the same moment.
Beside Gan Sui, Maron spun the oversized cylinder of his revolver twice and fired a shot at Kaido, who was still dazed to the side.
Bang!!
The massive recoil of the large revolver seemed to twist the very air.
A bullet wrapped in pitch-black light shot directly at Kaido's face at a speed far exceeding that of a normal flintlock!
Sensing danger, out of combat instinct, Kaido's arm muscles bulged reflexively as he swung his spiked club with wild force.

The bullet, entwined with pitch-black Haki, exploded against the tip of the spiked club. The immense power made Kaido grunt; he almost lost his grip on the spiked club, nearly sending it flying.
He was even forced back several steps by the impact.
The wounds previously inflicted by Carlo were agitated, several of them splitting open and leaking startling amounts of blood.
"What incredible power! Is this a cannon?"
He steadied himself and looked through gritted teeth at Maron, who had raised the revolver toward him again.
Maron narrowed his eyes, his finger pulling the trigger repeatedly.
"To be precise, this is a high-powered revolver I modified myself. The reason for its power, besides the special bullets, is the effect of the Armament Haki I wrap around them."
"Rookie Kaido, Rocks noticed you long ago, saying you were a decent seed. But seeing you today, your strength doesn't seem like much."
As he spoke, several more pitch-black bullets whistled through the air, each accurately locked onto Kaido's vital points.
Kaido hurriedly swung his club to intercept them.
However, he was once again forced back repeatedly by these bullets that were comparable to cannonballs.
One of the bullets even grazed his shoulder, leaving a clear scorched mark on the surface of his tough muscles.
And because of this, the wounds on his body split open even further.

A burst of black and red light bloomed violently from his massive, blood-drenched body, sweeping toward the approaching Maron!
Maron was stunned. "Haoshoku again?"
In that moment of shock, Kaido let out a beast-like roar, his veins bulging all over his body. He shattered the ground as he lunged forward, gripping his spiked club!
"Thunder Bagua!!"
This strike was too fast; Maron didn't have time to pull the trigger and could only swing his revolver as a weapon.
Boom!
The heavy spiked club smashed down, twisting the cylinder of the revolver.
A violent, peerless force struck, sending Maron flying backward.
Yet, the expression on his face remained indifferent.
Only when he saw the severe deformation of the revolver in his hand did his calm face instantly turn grim.
"My beloved gun!"
While still flying backward, his fingers curled. He looked at the charging Kaido, a look of indignation in his eyes.
"To destroy my beloved gun... even a rookie favored by Rocks must pay the price!"

Maron's body expanded rapidly.
In the blink of an eye, he transformed into a behemoth dozens of meters tall.
Kaido, charging with red eyes, had just reached him and hadn't even had time to swing his spiked club when he was slammed deep into the ground by a giant hand descending from the sky!

This guy was purely trying to gross him out.
His feet stepped like phantoms; he had already used Soru to leave his original position before the snot could fly over.
But before he could steady himself, a sinister light flashed in Gan Sui's beady eyes behind his frog glasses.
"Don't think I can only turn things on my own body into bombs."
"Earth Detonation!"
He stomped his foot hard.
The ground beneath him shattered under his iron-armored foot.
A violent vibration surged through the earth.
Just as Carlo's feet felt it, a warning bell rang in his mind. Without the slightest hesitation, he jumped into the air!
The moment he jumped, the ground within a radius of over ten meters beneath him expanded rapidly and detonated with a roar!
The fierce shockwave propelled Carlo's body even higher into the sky.
On the ground, Gan Sui looked up with a grin and slammed his hands together in the center.
"Air Detonation!!"
Having leaped into mid-air to avoid the center of the explosion, Carlo suddenly felt the air around him surge under Gan Sui's clap.
This surge seemed ordinary, but the moment it blew toward Carlo, it transformed into a rushing, turbulent blast of fire!
