Chapter 2 - Afghanistan

Despite his newfound powers, Shiro maintained a low-key presence. In fact, over the past two years, he had done almost nothing of note. Most of his time was spent giving Great Sage new ideas to refine and improve his existing skills and techniques. His sheer laziness eventually paid off in an unexpected way, resulting in the acquisition of [Unique Skill: Sloth].

His quiet, uneventful days came to an end on this day.

Shiro was walking home after buying an ice cream when he slowed to a stop in front of an appliance store. The shop's display was filled with televisions, all tuned to the same news broadcast.

The headline made him freeze.

Tony Stark, the famous billionaire, has gone missing during a business trip in Afghanistan.

Shiro stared at the screen, his mind going blank.

"Isn't this the Jujutsu Kaisen world?" he muttered. "Why is Tony Stark here?"

His understanding of the world cracked.

Then realization hit.

This wasn't just the Jujutsu Kaisen world.

It was a crossover.

Shiro exhaled slowly. He had thought he could remain idle, living quietly in the background—until the main plot of Jujutsu Kaisen began—but that was no longer an option. Compared to Jujutsu Kaisen, the Marvel Universe operated on an entirely different scale.

He rushed home.

The moment he arrived, Shiro had Great Sage take control of the internet and begin gathering information on S.H.I.E.L.D. and Tony Stark. After reviewing the collected data, Shiro came to a conclusion.

He was in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Aside from the crossover between Jujutsu Kaisen and the MCU, everything else appeared unchanged. That realization made him sigh in relief—but he didn't relax completely.

He also told Great Sage to monitor any suspicious events happenings all around regardless of how insignificant it was.

Who knew how many other worlds had merged together?

Shiro had already grown attached to this world. He had no intention of abandoning it.

***

Afghanistan.

Shiro disguised himself, turning his silver-white hair a light gold and shifting his golden eyes to a deep crimson. Moments later, he appeared at the site where Tony Stark had been ambushed.

He had flown all the way from Japan to Afghanistan for one reason—to see Tony Stark with his own eyes and make sure the man didn't die.

This was his reality now, not a movie plot. Anything could go wrong. Better safe than sorry.

His arrival didn't go unnoticed—nor did he make any effort to hide it.

Aboard a Helicarrier, Agent Maria Hill immediately informed Nick Fury about a suspicious individual who had appeared out of nowhere at the location of Tony Stark's disappearance.

Shiro tilted his head and looked up at the sky.

Those aboard the Helicarrier met his gaze through their screens.

"Is he… looking at us?" Fury asked.

"That's impossible," Maria Hill replied.

"Nothing is impossible," Fury said, frowning.

Shiro smiled directly at the satellite surveillance. A chill ran through everyone watching.

Then he vanished.

Shiro reappeared several kilometers away, near the base of the Ten Rings terrorist group that had kidnapped Tony Stark.

The moment he disappeared, Fury ordered every satellite and drone in the area to search for him.

With [Magic Sense], [Six Eyes], and [Spatial Manipulation] working together, Shiro's spatial awareness reached an entirely new level. Ignoring walls and distance, he observed Tony Stark and Ho Yinsen building the Mark I suit as if he were standing right beside them.

"It should be about time," Shiro muttered as he watched Tony put on the armor.

At the same moment, the terrorist leader sent two men to check on them.

When their calls were ignored, the two lackeys opened the lab doors—only to trigger the bomb Tony and Yinsen had prepared in advance.

The camera feed went dead.

Furious, the terrorist leader ordered his men to rush the lab.

Seeing the progress bar nearing completion, Yinsen gave Tony one last look. He picked up a fallen terrorist's gun and began firing at the walls, forcing the approaching men to halt and regroup.

Fully equipped, Tony stepped forward.

Ignoring the bullets tearing into his armor, he advanced relentlessly, cutting down the terrorists one by one. Panic spread as they fled.

Tony finally confronted the terrorist leader. Both fired their explosive launchers—and both missed.

Shiro couldn't help but chuckle.

Moments later, Tony knelt beside the dying Yinsen as he spoke his final words. Shiro considered intervening, but seeing that Yinsen had already accepted his fate, he respected the man's choice.

Tony emerged from the cave and was met by heavy gunfire. He answered with flames, burning the remaining terrorists and destroying crates of Stark Industries weapons.

His armor badly damaged, Tony blasted into the sky just as a massive explosion engulfed the entire base.

Buried beneath sand and debris, Tony slowly crawled out of the shattered Mark I, completely exhausted.

A shadow fell over him.

Still on guard, Tony tried to raise his weapon—but the suit was ruined.

He looked up and met Shiro's glowing crimson eyes.

"What a nice day we're having, Mr. Tony Stark," Shiro said, extending a hand.

Tony stared at him warily. "Who are you?"

"Who I am doesn't matter." Shiro glanced into the distance. The explosion would have drawn the attention of both the military and S.H.I.E.L.D. They wouldn't be far.

"It was nice meeting you, Mr. Stark. We'll meet again."

With that, Shiro activated [Spatial Transfer] and vanished, leaving Tony staring at empty air, completely stunned.

***

Shiro appeared in a shipbreaking yard along the African coast, not far from Johannesburg. Rusted ship hulls loomed over the shoreline, their broken frames casting long shadows across piles of scrap metal. The air smelled of salt, oil, and decay. Shiro smiled faintly, satisfied with the mysterious impression he had left on Tony Stark.

This was the same salvage yard where Ultron would one day meet Ulysses Klaue.

With his spatial awareness fully expanded, Shiro immediately located Klaue and his men. Their positions, movements, and heartbeats were laid bare to him. He widened his perception even further.

And found what he came for.

Vibranium.

Shiro activated Megiddo.

High above Klaue's base, large droplets of water formed in the sky, unnaturally still. Each droplet was carefully shaped by water elementals, transforming into a perfect convex lens. Smaller droplets formed alongside them, hovering in precise positions.

Sunlight bent.

Focused.

Condensed.

In an instant, the water lenses concentrated the sun's energy into pencil-thin beams of blinding light, each packed with unimaginable heat—hot enough to melt steel in a heartbeat. The smaller droplets shifted, acting as mirrors, redirecting every beam toward a living target below.

Miniature portals opened at the final points of contact.

There was no warning.

No sound.

No chance to react.

Megiddo descended.

The beams struck simultaneously, burning through flesh, bone, and armor in absolute silence. Hundreds of lives were erased in less than a second, the heat so intense that death came instantly. Physical defenses were meaningless. Armors offered no protection. The attack was unavoidable.

One moment, the base was alive with voices and movement.

The next, it was dead silent.

Shiro floated into the yard using [Gravity Flight], passing over scorched ground and lifeless bodies. He moved calmly toward the storage area, untouched by the devastation around him.

He gathered every piece of Vibranium and sealed it inside his [Spatial Storage].

Before leaving, Shiro placed a single [Singularity Spark] at the center of the base.

Then he vanished, using [Spatial Transfer], returning to Tokyo.

Left behind, the [Singularity Spark] flickered violently.

Singularity Spark was a newly developed technique, born from Gojo's Hollow Purple and refined through Great Sage's scientific research.

A moment later, a massive explosion consumed the entire base. The force surpassed any weapon humanity had ever created—dense, controlled, and overwhelming. It resembled a compressed supernova, its destruction confined to a precise area.

Had its range not been carefully limited, the entire region would have vanished without a trace.
