Before you dive in, I want to share that this story is a labor of love born from my deep appreciation for the original novel, "Imperial Commander: His Pretty Wife Is Spoiled Rotten" by Gu Jiaqi.
I am such a huge fan of the world and characters that GuJiaqi created that I couldn't stop thinking about "what if?" In this version, you will see the same characters you know and love, but I have taken the plot down a brand-new path. Think of it as a reimagining or an alternate journey within the same universe.
I have so much respect for the original work, and this is my way of exploring a different side of the story. I hope you enjoy this new perspective as much as I enjoyed writing it!
