Leo
I really pity him.
As I watched Kayden clutch his hair in that desperate, self punishing grip, fingers tangled tight as he lamented his fate, I couldn't help thinking that he should have listened to me.
I warned him about pumping too many suppressants into his body, but Kayden has always been stubborn; he always does exactly as he wishes, consequences be damned.
"Kayden, stop pulling your hair," I said, rolling my eyes as I closed the space between us. I grabbed his hands and pulled them down firmly, forcing him to look at me. "Panic isn't a physiological solution."
He stared back at me with bloodshot eyes and groaned. "You said I only have a fifty-fifty chance, Leo."
"I said the damage is significant," I countered, crossing my arms and slipping back into my detached, professional tone, the one that usually kept me from losing my mind every time I was around him.
