Kayden
Something was going on with Rhys, and it was his father. He must have heard something on that call, and as curious as I was, I didn't want to pressure him into telling me.
As the bus entered the gates of the Glacier Dome, I sent a message to Leo. He had left the game early after we won to finish his lab work, and Starlight was with him.
Kayden: Hey. Let Starlight stay with you tonight. Rhys and I are going to need our privacy.
Leo: Are you fucking kidding me? Again? I literally just finished your tests and the results aren't out yet. You can't let him knot you again, Kayden. Your system can't take that much of his raw knotting strain without crashing.
Kayden: I'll be fine. Just for tonight. He's... he's not okay, Leo. He's hurting.
Leo: Suddenly you are his comfort? Will he do the same for you?
I paused as my fingers hovered over the keyboard.
Kayden: He is not going to knot me. There are other alternatives.
