The world did not tremble.

The rift stretched wider, its edges shredding the chamber walls like tissue paper. Beyond it, the presence unfurled, vast, endless, incomprehensible, pressing against reality like an ocean against fragile glass about to break.
Luna felt its awareness slide over her skin.
Not hostile.
Not kind.
Curious.
Like a scientist examining an unexpected anomaly.
"You called it," the Correction said, voice almost gentle now, almost sympathetic. "Every broken law echoes across existence. Every stolen choice demands balance."
Kael stepped in front of Luna without hesitation, silver light burning along his skin like a living flame.
"Then take it up with me," he growled, voice more wolf than man.
The presence shifted slightly within the rift.
