The banquet was over. But the shockwaves were just beginning.
The guests left the Ryuzaki Domain with their souls trembling. They had witnessed history.
Ryuzaki Haruto, ten years old, had crushed the Date Clan's prodigy like an insect and torn the Ancestral Dragon Nest's prince limb from limb. He possessed the Ancient Sacred Body AND the Supreme Bone. He was born to be an Emperor.
"With him here... what hope do others have?" a young Sect Master sighed, looking back at the floating islands.
And then there was the Eighteenth Ancestor. Three swords to kill a Quasi-Supreme. The foundation of the Ryuzaki Clan was a bottomless abyss of terror.
The Desolate Heaven Immortal Realm (Kouten-Senkai) was about to enter an era of turmoil.
The Dragon's Rage
Far to the south, in the Province of Rainbows (Niji no Kuni).
ROAR!
A furious dragon roar shook the stars from the sky. The entire province trembled under the wrath of a Supreme Being.
"Why is the Ancestor angry?" the beast-kin citizens whispered in fear.
Deep inside the Ancestral Dragon Nest, several massive consciousnesses were communicating.
"Calm down! Rage is useless!"
"Calm down?! That Ryuzaki brat killed Prince Haotian! And that old ghost Ryuzaki killed Elder Nether! Are we just going to swallow this?!"
"Ryuzaki Shiba (The 18th Ancestor) is a madman. Starting an Immortal War now is unwise."
"Then what? Do we let them laugh at us?"
"We wait," an ancient voice echoed. "We wait for Ryuu Tatsuya ."
The nest fell silent at the mention of that name.
"Tatsuya is currently refining his Fifth Dragon Pearl. Once he assimilates all Seven Pearls and the Emperor Dragon Blood, he will be invincible. He will sweep the younger generation."
"Yes. Let the Ryuzaki Divine Son enjoy his moment. When Tatsuya emerges... he will wash the Ryuzaki Clan in blood!"
The Star King's Vision
In the void between provinces, a divine bird pulled a luxurious carriage through the clouds.
Inside, Date Xingyun groaned and opened his eyes.
"Ouch... everything hurts..."
Every bone in his body felt pulverized. Memories of the banquet flooded back. The humiliation. The defeat. Minamoto Ruri's disdain.
"Ryuzaki... Haruto!" Xingyun grit his teeth until they cracked.
"Young Master," Uncle Fu sighed. "Give it up. The news just came out. He has the Supreme Bone."
"What?!" Xingyun froze. "He has the Sacred Body AND the Supreme Bone?! And he didn't even use it against me?!"
The realization was a heavy blow. Haruto hadn't even taken him seriously. He was just a warm-up.
"Damn it!" Xingyun punched the wall. "Is there no justice?"
Suddenly, his vision blurred.
His consciousness was pulled into a deep, starry void. He saw a magnificent Star Palace floating in the galaxy. Standing in front of it was a figure draped in starlight, possessing an aura that ruled the heavens.
The figure turned slightly. It felt familiar. It felt like... him.
"Is this... a past life memory?" Xingyun gasped, waking up in the carriage.
He knew the legends. Date Masamune was the reincarnation of the Sword Demon. Could he be the reincarnation of a Star Supreme?
"That Star Palace... it's a treasure trove left for me!"
Xingyun's eyes burned with renewed ambition.
"Ryuzaki Haruto! Fortunes change! Once I awaken my memories, I will crush you! And Ruri... you will regret choosing him!"
Harem Troubles
Back in the Ryuzaki Domain.
Haruto was facing his own crisis. A crisis more annoying than a Dragon Prince.
"Brother Haruto! Do you need a maid to serve tea?" "I have Reika."
"Do you need a maid to do laundry?" "I have Reika."
"Do you need a maid to warm your bed?" "I have— wait, Reika doesn't do that. And neither do you!"
Haruto rubbed his temples. Minamoto Ruri was clinging to his arm like a koala. She refused to go home.
"You're twelve! Go do your homework!" Haruto scolded.
"No! I want to stay with my husband!" Ruri puffed her cheeks.
Even Lady Shizuka was laughing. "Just marry her already, son."
"I'm leaving!" Haruto announced. "The Ancestor summoned me!"
He used his movement technique to escape the terrifying horde of women.
The Forbidden Grounds
Haruto arrived at the Ancestral Hall, located in a twisted dimension deep within the clan grounds.
The atmosphere here was heavy. Laws of time and space were distorted.
An old man in gray robes sat cross-legged in the void. His white hair flowed like a waterfall. Around him, galaxies seemed to be born and destroyed in a cycle.
The Eighteenth Ancestor.
"Greetings, Ancestor," Haruto bowed respectfully. He could feel the terrifying power radiating from the old man. This was the strength that killed a Quasi-Supreme with three swings.
"Good," the Ancestor opened his eyes. They were like deep abysses. He smiled rarely, but looking at Haruto, he looked like a proud grandfather.
"You did well. Tearing apart the dragon spawn... very Ryuzaki of you."
"Thank you, Ancestor," Haruto remained calm.
The Ancestor nodded in approval. Most disciples would be trembling in his presence. Haruto was as calm as a still lake.
"Tell me," the Ancestor smiled faintly. "Do you want to learn the [Immortal Slaying Sword Technique]?"
Haruto's eyes lit up immediately.
"Yes!"
"Good. But before that..." The Ancestor's expression turned serious. "I sense a disturbance in your Dao Heart. Or rather... a resonance."
"Resonance?" Haruto blinked.
"The Minamoto Girl," the Ancestor said. Not Ruri, but the older one. "Minamoto Sayaka. The one with the Dao Embryo."
Haruto paused. He remembered the strange feeling when he stood near her.
"Your Ancient Sacred Body and her Congenital Dao Embryo... they are fated," the Ancestor explained. "In the ancient eras, the union of these two physiques created the Supreme Being. The Heavens might try to bring you together, or tear you apart."
"Be careful, Haruto. Romance is the hardest tribulation."
Haruto frowned. He hadn't thought much about Sayaka. She was beautiful, yes, but he was focused on power.
"I understand," Haruto nodded. "But I forge my own path."
"Hahaha! Good answer!" The Ancestor laughed. "Now, sit. I will teach you the First Sword."
