Ling Xuan continued walking, pretending she was no longer curious about his intel. Her mind wandered to the day he fainted and she had to do a resuscitation to revive him. She immediately closed her eyes as if to remove the thought from her mind.
In as much as she hated what she did, she could clearly see her act of grace was not wasted. Her eyes wandered back to him, with a mere look one would think he might die from merely walking, but she had come to realise he was more useful than she had thought, and not only that, he was more dangerous than he actually looked.
"Where are we heading?" Chris asked. He could definitely feel her suspicious gaze on him now and then. And he knew she must be thinking about his network, but the last thing he wanted from her was her growing suspicion. He didn't want her to drift further away from him.
"We? The question should be where am I heading?" Ling Xuan quickly corrected.
