Hobin stood before a boy who had been tormenting him and every other student in his grade. The crowd murmured, exposing their thoughts of how the match would end. Before Hobin knew the match was been streamed on the school's official channel—"Tattalia_only". Everyone was watching it, including the new principal.
Hobin took a deep breath, but perhaps took too long to open his eyes, because the moment he did, he saw Pa Kong jumping like a hungry leopard on its prey. Hobin look a little rusty when he dodged the first two punches. He staggered backward and thought to himself.
"Come on. Get it together. This is your chance. You will never get another chance like this. Perhaps not even in a million years". He paused and slapped his cheeks. "Focus". He whispered to himself.
"Come and get me, Hobin the weasel". Pa Kong snapped and Hobin took the stance again.
In an instant, Pa Kong released a fury of fists at Hobin. It was easily deflected, but as the continued force kept forcing Hobin to take multiple steps backward. Hobin realized he needed to release and stage a counter, but Pa Kong didn't even give him much room for anything. He kept throwing punches at Hobin.
"Whoa. Hobin is actually holding off Pa Kong". Nagi muttered.
"Indeed. Yet everyone knows an egg only need a crack to lose its shell". A white haired student standing next to Nagi replied.
The continues hit n dodge or deflect continued and Pa Kong was losing his humanity. At the sight of the poor and weak Hobin acting all brave and rallying a few fans behind him, made him sick. He became animalistic, acting like a mad man on fire. Burying down every inch of his fist into Hobin's path. The more Hobin dodged it, the more anger filled him.
As Hobin took another step back, he stepped on a pebble and almost lost his footing. He regained his stance, but within the time of his almost fall and that of regaining stamina, a lot took place.
"There's the crack". The white haired student said and gave a cold glare. His eyes gave out the words "I told you so" without him even speaking.
Hobin was smashed to the floor. Like a wrecking ball, he rolled to the end of the court. He got up feeling dizzy from what seemed like the punch of the year. His mouth tasted funny and his chin felt as thought it has shifted. Hobin's felt his body going slower when his brain wished for it to be fast. The next thing he knew, he was bleeding. Pa Kong drove another jab for his chin and another for his nose. He kept at it, locking Hobin in an infinite loop of punches.
"It's over. We already know who won. Just stop hitting him! Nagi screamed in pain. He felt Hobin was already seeing beyond the stars that floated in his head. He begged for the fight to end, but got nothing in return from Pa Kong. He was dominating Hobin and was crushing him to the ground.
"What a fool. He thought he could actually win against the great Pa Kong". A student muttered and throw a spit on the floor. "What a weasel".
"I guess it's the same old Hobin. He thought because he put in a few crunches that he would actually win against Pa Kong. He should just stick to the books". One of Pa Kong's gang laughed out.
"A flashy kick in the hall, yet he still getting his ass handed to him. What a joke! A girl chuckled and pulled in closer for a video.
"Don't give up! Hobin! Do you hear me! You said that we can be free from our oppressors and the only way to survive is to fight. So don't you dare give up Hobin. Cause I don't have money for hospital bills! Nagi snapped out anxiously and got the whole crowd laughing at him.
Clearly he should have seen that the match was already over. Hobin was lying flat on his back. Bleeding and barely breathing. Pa Kong rises up his right arm and got the crowd cheering.
"That's our Pa Kong. Strong as always. Stupid Hobin thought he could win against our class champion". The crowd cheered.
"Hobin is such a loser". Pa Kong's girlfriend muttered and turned the camera over to do a selfie with her boyfriend.
"So…Hobin lost". The white haired student said and paused immediately. "Huh? Is he getting up, after all that beating…Is…Is he smiling? The white haired student thought anxiously.
"Hahahaha". Hobin laughed and got the crowd glare in shock. He got up slowly, wiped his face clean and spit out blood. "Okay…let's get serious". Hobin muttered and ran at Pa Kong in full throttle.
"Just stay down, you asshole! Another student yelled at him.
"What are you doing…Hobin? Nagi asked staring at him in shock.
Pa Kong grimed and prepared to finish him off. The next thing he knew was a stone aimed at his forehead. He caught it immediately and heard Hobin mutter;
"You're a big fella. Like a gigantic beast. So you can't use your legs, but right now when you rise up your hands you blur your own vision and therefore block your eye sight for exactly…8 seconds. 8 seconds is more than enough for me…to do this". Hobin said and took a stance underneath his line of sight.
Before he could even react, Hobin was underneath him. Hobin stepped on his toe, strengthened his footing and gave out a massive hook into Pa Kong's jaw. Blood spilled immediately. Because Hobin stood over his toe, he was forced to remain in the same spot where Hobin hide underneath his eye sight.
"You little…". Pa Kong grumbled like a big baby. He took a step back and that opened Hobin up a bit. He was no longer blurred out of his eye sight. "You are mine". He snapped at Hobin confidently.
"Get out of there, Hobin! Nagi screamed anxiously.
"No…you are just where wanted you to be. And even better, with a right hooker being thrown". Hobin muttered and gave Pa Kong a dirty smirk.
"RAGE BAITING. I LIKE IT". XL said and Hobin chuckled.
Pa Kong went berserk and throw out that right hook. Too close, but perfect timing for Hobin to slid underneath his arm and burying himself in his stomach. Hobin slid over to kick his legs, he lost his footing and fell over to Hobin's back.
"Is he…There's no way". The white haired student mumbled in shock.
"He is going to flip him". Nagi said and everyone glared without blinking.
Hobin lifted him up and slammed him in the ground. Immediately, burying his fist in his throat. He curled his fingers like a knock on the door, knocking his throat and forcing him to cough out. Pa Kong laid there, coughing and finally going unconscious.
The crowd went silent, no one said anything for the next two minutes. Even Hobin himself was shocked. He stared at his palms and at the silent crowd. Hobin saw Nagi walk out of the crowd. His eyes cold and steps measured.
"Nagi…I…". Before he could say another word. Nagi run at him and hugged him. The crowd cheered, roaring and singing songs of Hobin's victory.
Hobin defeating Pa Kong only one pushed his ranks up to 289 but also made him the top dog in Rank E. Hobin was shocked how people immediately loved him, especially after they were praising Pa Kong a few minutes ago. Hobin was surprised when Pa Kong's girlfriend, pulled him in closer for a video with her fans. She called him "Her man" and attempted to get all intimate with him. She expressed her displeasures over dating losers like Pa Kong and always has an interest for the top dogs of the school. Right at this moment, Hobin was seen as a newest member of the Elites who captained a class. In his case, he captained the E ranked.
Through all the crowd rowdiness, the white haired student stood watching Hobin. A mischievous smile appeared on his face. He chuckled as the crowd covered him up.
"So you actually won. Hobin ITOSHI. Using your knowledge as a new battle strategy because you have zero strength. Looks like am not the only one whose being up to something". He slowly turned to leave. "I guess you're the one to beat". He continued and slowly disappeared from the scene.
