I crossed my broad arms over my chest, putting on my most offended expression. "Wow. I really didn't know you were in such a massive haste to send your soon-to-be husband away."
Ezra let out a breathless laugh, shaking his head at my theatrical display. "Allen, it's literally right down the hall."
He stepped closer to me, leaning up on his tiptoes, and pressed a soft, sweet kiss right onto my cheek.
It was a gentle, innocent peck, but the moment he started to pull back, my body reacted on pure instinct. I reached out, wrapped my arm securely around his waist, and yanked him back gently against my chest before his feet could even settle on the floor. I leaned down and captured his lips in a deep, firm, passionate kiss, claiming his mouth with a need so deep that I was ready to burn everything and everyone making us wait. Ezra kissed me back with the same need as well and for a moment, everything and everyone around us seemed to disappear, leaving just the two of us.
