"Allen!" I called out, my voice trembling as I took a quick step forward.
Slowly, I increased my pace and I ran toward him.
I heard a jingling sound with every step I took. I looked down and realized I had delicate gold chains wrapped around my ankle, and my entire body was adorned with sparkling jewels. My clothes had been changed into a shiny, royal red gown that flowed around my legs as I moved.
However, I didn't stop running. "Allen!"
Hearing my call, Allen slowly turned around.
The moment his gaze landed on me, his eyes became full of warmth and affection. He opened his broad arms wide, waiting for me.
I sprinted the last few feet and threw myself straight into his arms. Allen caught me effortlessly, lifting me up and pulling me flush against his chest.
Tears instantly gathered in my eyes as I tried frantically to recount what happened. "Allen... someone knocked on the door and blew this powder on my face, and I thought I was kidnapped, and—"
