Chapter 18 - Strayed Into The Evil Alpha’s Nest

Ezra

When I left Alpha Allen's room, my legs felt weak. Not because he scared me, but because of everything he did. His voice, his scent, the way he touched my arm. What were these sensations I felt when I was close to him?

But it didn't change my feelings about being some baby breeding material. I was still an omega in a strange elf house. I still didn't know what my future here looked like. And worst of all, these people didn't look like they were joking about the breeding thing.

As I walked down the hallway, I thought about my life here.

Is this how I'm going to live? And for how long?

I kept walking.

The hallway opened into a large wooden door on the right. I pushed it open just enough to peek outside.

A soft breeze hit my face. Fresh air.

I sighed with relief and stepped outside.

I kept walking until I found myself in a garden—and not a small one at that.

The place was wide, and almost annoyingly beautiful. The grasses were trimmed to perfection. The flowers had multiple types. Tall trees stood looking so healthy and beautiful.

For a moment, I couldn't believe this place was real.

And then I heard something.

I frowned and walked further in, following the sound until I reached a corner hidden behind a wall of tall shrubs. I peeked through a small opening.

It was Alpha Xenon. And he was naked—I mean, Alpha Xenon was training, naked.

He wasn't wearing anything on top, and the first thing I noticed was how his muscles moved so… nicely.

His arms were thick and his chest rose and fell with every punch he threw. His skin was covered in sweat.

He was hitting a large wooden post. His size alone was enough to make someone forget how to breathe.

And his scent…

It drifted through the air like manly scented perfume… whatever that means.

I should leave this place right now.

Actually, I should run as fast as my legs can carry me.

But I just stood there, staring like the fool I apparently was.

I didn't even blink.

My mind was like; he looks nothing like the monster who tried to tear you and eliminate you earlier.

He still kept training and I foolishly continued staring at the way his muscles moved with every punch and how beads of sweat rolled down his back. Fuck me!

"How long do you intend to keep staring at me, omega?"

Wait, that wasn't my voice.

My soul left my body.

I froze, still crouched behind the bushes like a naughty child who wasn't supposed to be stealing glances at an almost-naked adult man.

Especially one that looked like him.

Slowly, very slowly, he turned his head toward me. His eyes found mine through the leaves—as if he could see through them.

I stepped out because pretending I wasn't staring would be even more embarrassing.

Xenon wiped sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. His expression was unreadable, which was already terrifying.

"For someone who insulted me a few minutes ago," he said, voice low and rough, "you sure have some guts to be peeking at me like that."

I opened my mouth, but my voice stayed trapped in my throat.

Xenon took a step closer, and my body reacted before I could do anything.

"Do you know what happens," he asked, "to an omega who seeks out an alpha?"

His tone wasn't angry.

That made it worse.

He wiped more sweat off his jaw. "Especially an alpha like me?"

I swallowed. "I wasn't— I didn't seek you out."

"Oh?" He tilted his head.

"Because from where I stand, it looks very much like you did."

He walked toward me with slow, unhurried steps, like he had all the time in the world to deal with my stupidity.

The closer he came, the stronger his scent hit me. Fuck!

He stopped right in front of me. He was way too close now.

"Or…" his voice was lower now, "are you looking for something else?"

My face heated instantly. I shook my head fast. "No. No, I wasn't. I'm sorry for disturbing your training. I'll leave—"

I turned around.

Stupid idea.

"Stop right there."

The sound of his voice pinned me to the spot.

I stopped walking.

My heart was beating so fast I could literally hear it.

I didn't turn until he spoke again.

"You're in my nest now," he said. "Do you understand that?"

I looked up at him. His eyes were different now. Like he was hungry and I was the meat for his satisfaction.

"As an omega," he continued, "you can't walk away from an alpha's nest unless…"

He leaned a little closer.

Air left my lungs.

"Unless you do something that satisfies me."

I froze.

He was bigger than me. Stronger in build. His aura was so strong, it almost knocked me off my feet.

And his meaning… well, it wasn't hard to understand.

My throat felt dry. "W-what do you mean by that?"

His eyes flicked down to my lips before rising back to my face.

He didn't smile, but there was something in his expression that made me want to run and stay at the same time.

"You know exactly what I mean Ezra," he said quietly.

My stomach did that thing and I wasn't sure if it was from fear or something else. I felt oddly warm and a part of me wanted to engage in his suggestion.

Alpha Xenon covered the remaining space between us and I could feel the full intensity of his presence. I swallowed hard.

He watched the movement, and from the expression on his face, he was pleased.

Then he lifted a hand and brushed his knuckles against my jaw.

I couldn't breathe. My entire body was reacting to him and I couldn't stop myself.

"You're trembling," he murmured in a dangerously sultry voice.

"I'm not," I whispered. Come on Ezra. You can do better than that!

The voices in my head picked the worst time to be loud because I was losing my shit.

He raised an eyebrow.

I was in fact trembling. Badly at that.

He lowered his voice to a tone that felt like a thousand butterflies were released into my stomach.

"Good."

He let his fingers fall away from my jaw, but he didn't step back. His gaze was so intense, I could literally see the hunger in his eyes.

"Now," he said softly, "be a good omega…"

His eyes locked onto mine.

"…and decide how you plan to satisfy me."
