**Chapter 33 – Reassembled and the Mark of Madness**


After the massacre, Joker and Harley recomposed themselves as if nothing had happened. They wiped the blood from their hands, their smiles returning to normal.


The other children were crying, terrified but relieved. Astrid: "You… killed them all…" Marina: "It was horrible… but you saved us."


Joker knelt down: "Hey, family. That was just Act 1. Now everyone breathe. Let's go get Mommy Lys and head back home."


Harley handed out hugs: "See? No one touches us. Now smile—the show goes on!"


Once everyone was calm (group hugs, crazy jokes), Joker did something. He touched the forehead of each girl (except Harley, who was already special): Sylvara, Rina, Lirien, Kuroe, Astrid, Marina. A red-golden mark appeared, like a stylized clown.


— This awakens your true power — Joker explained. — Everyone has a power beyond imagination, sleeping deep inside. It's impossible to wake it alone. But I can. In exchange… you gain your own brand of madness. And there are conditions… which I'll tell you about later.


The marks glowed but didn't activate yet. They felt a tingling, but nothing more.
