Chapter 5 - CURSED IS HER PATIENCE

"Sir, when did you say our two saviors are arriving again?" Fiona said to the Griffin fairy for the tenth time.

"Fiona? Seriously? Aren't you more concerned about how we would get home. It's been almost two days now. What are we going to tell dad?" Relia said to her sister.

"Dad schmad. Two handsome men saved us Relia. Two handsome men. We need to thank them don't you think?" Fiona said with dreamy eyes.

She loved romance and was so glad to bask in the opportunity she was given. Though she secretly would have loved to see the men as they saved her. How romantic was that?

"Saved us. Right." Relia replied to her sister and then turned to the Griffin fairy.

"Why have you refused to tell us what we were saved from. And why in the hell are we still here. Look sir! I have been patient enough with you and your what was their name again? Yes. Phoenix fairies. We need to go home now!" Relia said getting really infuriated and disgusted.

The mortal world didn't stop because of some useless saving by some useless fairies. And she had a lot of work to do back at home.

"Be patient. Just be patient." The Griffin fairy replied as he had been replying. With the same words. Patience.

Relia didn't have any of it neither did she want it.

"Then can we at least get some fresh air?" Relia said.

They had been stuck in the Griffin's home for too long and he prevented them from going out.

Saying something about not being seen by any other fairy.

"Patience, dear one. Patience." The Griffin replied.

"If you say the word Patience one more time, I would do something you would certainly not like. What has patience done for anyone." Relia said to the fairy.

"Uhm. It has helped me dream about those two men," Fiona said teasingly.

"Right, Fiona. Right." Her sister replied.

Relia went to the bed and lay upright. Sleeping was the only thing left for her to do as the Griffin fairy wasn't particularly interesting. He had no books or curious items around his house. She wasn't particularly interested in entertaining her sister's romantic dreams. And so sleep she forced herself to do.

It was night when Relia woke. Fiona was asleep by her side. She turned to face her and watched her sister. She looked happy and content which wasn't supposed to be given their prisoner situation.

She rose up from the bed and went to turn on the light in the room. It was too dark to see very clearly.

She turned on the light and screamed.

"Relia," Fiona said waking up sleepily. She rubbed her eyes. And her eyes slowly began to zoom into focus on something or someone. Two someones. She stared.

Relia had already gotten herself together by this time and she rushed over to meet the two men sitting in a corner close to the bed where her and her sister slept.

"Who are you and what are you two doing in this room. And watching two women sleep. Is that what fairies do?" Relia said to the two men who by this time stood up and refused to speak.

The men were different from the Griffin fairy who looked old in age. These two looked much younger and somewhat handsome.

Relia caught herself staring and she cleared her throat.

No one was speaking. Everyone was staring.

"I guess this is a staring competition then? Okay. As you wish my lords and lady Fiona. Let the staring continue." Relia said with a loud voice breaking everyone present from their apparent trance.

"I apologize Miss. Sorry I would like to know your name," The shorter of the two men said to Relia.

"Sorry I would like to know why you are here." Relia demanded.

The taller of the two tapped the first on the shoulder and began to speak to both Relia and her sister.

Fiona at this time had already gone closer to Relia although still somewhat staring at the men in front of them.

"My name is Eryon. And my friend here is Mordrick. We are Phoenix fairies. And we made a grave mistake we hope to correct." The taller man said.

"Oh here we go. Home sweet home." Relia said to her sister.
