My eyes soon opened and I realized the place I was had once again changed. The room looked well furnished. The Bronze plated furniture gleamed in the light of day. Looking out the window, I saw not one but two bright bodies of intense light. My suspension was confirmed. All that had happened was indeed, not a dream. Curious to see the face of my new body, I got out of my bed and made way for a nearby dressing mirror.
My eyes were bright blue and my once dull black hair was now a wondrous shade of white that complimented the light of day. My face had changed. Smashing up my cheeks, I realized just how handsome my new body was.
It would seem my sudden awakening had drawn attention. The door to what I supposed was my room, flew open. At the door, a maid stood in shock. She forrowed her eyes in disbelief before exclaiming,
" Master August, you've recovered!!!!".
She quickly ran out and informed other maid's at the door that the young master had recovered from his ailment. I tried my hardest to access the memories of this body, but it would seem my mental fortitude was not quite ready yet.
Soon after, a group of female maid's entered my room. With some combing my hair, some dabbing my forehead with a warm towel and some preparing a change of clothes, I felt like a king. I had a feeling this life was going to have some perks.
It then dawned on me, she said "Master August ". So that's my name, August. It's a nice name, I thought to myself. But I couldn't get the thought of the maid out of my mind. Soon after, she too entered. I asked ,myself what her name was and as if In anticipation a voice answered,
" That would be Anna-May, your personally assigned caretaker and helper".
I was caught off guard and looked around to find the source of the voice. The voice range out again,
" hey, it's me Lumina. I'm speaking to you telepathically so, don't bother looking around. You asked who that lady was and I have you the answer. As for your bodies memories, you can't access them at the moment".
I was curious about my new body's past and why I could inhabit it. I threw the question to Lumina, who filled me in on the harsh truth.
" Hmmm, to be honest, this morning was supposed to be a sad day for the family. Their youngest son, August Grimmseley Black, was always sickly. He died at midnight, five hours ago. Your family is a small field nobility of the Baltimore Empire. Your father is this domain's futal Lord. Lord Astra Grimmseley Black. Your mother, lady Ariella Grimmseley Black, was once an adventure along with your father. That is how they met. You have an older sister, Alesha Grimmseley Black. She is not st the manner due to her schooling at Bright Star Magical Academy ".
My heart sank at the realization that I was basically lying to them. Lifting up my head, I looked at Anna-May and gave her a comforting smile.
After the maid's left, I was now dressed in fine yet, somewhat casual clothes. Anna-May spoke finally,
" Master August, might I ask your permission to inform the Lord and lady that you've awakened?".
I simply knodded in agreement. When she left, I heard Lumina speak once more.
" Good, now that you are settled in, you would have to start you training immediately. You must be vigilant and keep your abilities a secret.
When you have the time, find a secluded place in the manner. I'd suggest the old study, it's hardly in use. Once you do, activate your status to get a feel of your abilities".
With that, my first day in the mythical world of Grandiose began. I had no idea of what lay before me as my growth of power progressed. But I was sure of one thing, this time I wasn't going to throw away life so simply.
