Duchess Lilith sat in her office, signing papers from the monthly duchy meetings of the vessels. They had been getting a bit too greedy for their own good.
One dared to ask about her dear son's marriage. She wondered if she had become too soft or the Bloodmoor family had been too silent that the people forgot their horror.
Maybe a mixture of both, she came to a conclusion.
"Duchess, Count Sisley has shown the most growth in revenue and development. "
The duchess's hand paused at what her first advisor said and looked up at the older man who was standing in front of her.
"Isn't he the count that my son unilaterally placed in the seat without my permission?"
She asked, trying to recall the young lad's face.
"Yes duchess, young master seems to have a good eye for people. The new count is doing incredibly well."
The duchess nodded. She went back to signing the mountain of papers, her interest waning. She trusted her son's judgment, and she knew he would never disappoint her.
