The day had finally arrived. The first day of school at the U. A. High School. Everything was going as planned: no one suspected him, and his sneaky entry had no errors.
In the meantime, Mato had bought himself the uniform and the backpack.
(Today, the second phase of my—no, our—plan begins.)
Mato quickly reached U. A. and entered inside.
(They said I've been assigned to Class 1-B... I wonder how they are...) thought the boy while walking towards the hall.
Finally, he saw the sign:
"Class 1-B."
"Perfect," said Mato. He opened the door and saw his classmates.
(Okay, I already feel uncomfortable here...) he thought.
Mato scratched the back of his head. Suddenly, he heard a voice.
"Hey, are ya our classmates?"
Mato turned and saw a guy with white hair and sharp eyes.
"Yes."
"Nice to meetcha! Name's Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu!"
"Hideki Shirakawa, nice to meet you too..."
In the corner of the class, there was a girl with green eyes and orange hair. Hearing the conversation between Mato and Tetsutetsu, she lifted her head to see the new entry, and it was love at first sight.
(He's our classmates? He's so cool! Those eyes, and those red hair... not to mention his muscles... we've got a pretty hot classmate!)
Mato fixed his hair and noticed the girl.
"Yo," he said, raising his hand.
(Kyaaa! He spoke to me!)
"Hello, what's your name?" she asked shyly.
"Hideki Shirakawa," answered Mato, "and you are?"
"Itsuka Kendo! Call me Itsuka, if you want!"
"Okay, Itsuka..."
(Kyaaa! He called me by my first name!)
Mato took a look at the rest of the class, and aside from a guy with green skin and lizard-like features, another guy with pitch-black skin, and a girl with horns, it was pretty normal.
Suddenly, from behind, Mato got approached.
"Hideki Shirakawa, right?"
Mato jumped in the air.
"WAAH!"
"Oh, sorry if I scared ya, dude!"
It was a girl with green hair, and to Mato's eyes—at least, for now—she was pretty cute.
"Yeah, it's me. Hideki's the first name."
"I had guessed! I'm Setsuna Tokage!"
"My pleasure, Tokage..."
"No, my pleasure!"
(She's cute... I'd better befriend her...)
"So, tell me, what's your Quirk? How does that work?"
"My Quirk is called 'Darkness Manipulation.' I can manipulate and use darkness at will, though I suffer from drowsiness, since darkness is often associated to what a person needs to sleep."
"What an interesting Quirk! Mine is called 'Lizard Tail Splitter,' and it allows me to divide my body in many parts, which I can control at distance."
"Wow, cool..."
"C'mon, show some enthusiasm, mate! It's your first day at U. A.!"
"Yay, woo-hoo..."

After a while, when Mato was sitting on his chair, next to Tetsutetsu, a big and tall guy entered the room. He had white hair and a red suit.
"Welcome at U. A. High School, guys," he said, "I'm Sekijiro Kan, also known as Vlad King, and I'm your homeroom teacher!"
(This guy looks cool...) thought Mato.
"What are we going to do today as the first day, Kan-sensei?" asked Setsuna.
"Practical test," said Sekijiro, "put this on and let's go onto the field."
Mato grabbed his uniform and looked at it weirdily.
"I'd never imagine our uniforms were so ugly..."
Once on the field, Mato yawned.
"First of all," said Sekijiro, "I'll push to surpass Class 1-A, okay? That's why we're doing exactly what they did earlier."
(So we're copycats...) thought Mato.
"This is a Quirk assessment test. We'll skip useless stuffs like the entrance ceremony. You don't need it."
"You already did this in middle school without your Quirks, right?"
(I never went to middle school...)
"Shirakawa," Sekijiro pointed Mato, "send this tennisball as far as you can, using your Quirk."
"Go on, Shirakawa-kun!" Setsuna encouraged. Mato took the ball and walked towards the circle.
"You can do anything, as long as you don't go outside the circle," explained Sekijiro.
Mato nodded.
(I'll just wrap darkness in my hand and throw this ball outside of the atmosphere...) he thought.
"Here... it... GOES!"
BAM!
As if by magic, the ball skyrocketed in the sky with immense force.
(Okay, maybe a little too much...) realized Mato.
(Oh damn, he's strong...!) thought Itsuka, blushing.
"Good job, Shirakawa!" exclaimed Sekijiro, clapping Mato on the shoulder. The boy almost lost balance.
"If I fall asleep while standing up," Mato said, "it's because of drowsiness."

The first day of school had ended, and Mato was returning... well, not home, since he didn't have one.
On his way, Mato met Itsuka Kendo.
"Oh, hey, Hideki-kun!" she exclaimed, waving a hand at him.
"Hi, Itsuka," Mato said, raising his hand, "I was about to return home."
"Yeah, I know."
Itsuka stopped for a second, then she gathered all of her courage.
"Hideki-kun, would you mind giving me your number?"
"Why?"
"So we can chat after school...!"
"Fine, here's the number..."
Mato and Itsuka exchanged numbers.
"Thanks, Hideki-kun, see ya!"
"See you, Itsuka..."
(He's so cool...!)
(I don't know what's on her mind, but she's almost as cute as Tokage.)
After a few minutes of walking, Mato heard some noises. Instead of being afraid, he immediately realized who it was.
"Come outside, Himiko-chan. I noticed you."
"Seems like I didn't hide well, Hideki-kun~" Toga came out from her hideout.
"Please, not you too," said Mato, "my name is Mato, use it. Anyway, why are you here?"
"To ask you how your first day went!"
"It went fine. I'm in Class 1-B."
"Any cute girls?"
"Yes. Two, in particular."
"Oh, I see~"
"You can tell AFO everything's going as planned here. And... where's Dabi?"
"He had an engagement and couldn't come."
"Pity, he's better than you at giving informations."
"Don't worry, I'll tell AFO loud and clear what you said."
"Fine, I'm leaving. I'm starving."
"Aren't you forgetting something..."
"Oh, right..."
Mato rolled his sleeves up and allowed Toga to drink his blood.
"Thanks, Mato-kun~ I know you're doing this because you care about me~"
(Baka, I'm doing this because I'm into you...)
"Fine. See Ya, Mato-kun~"
"Send Dabi next time."
Mato remained alone, clutching his arm from which Toga took blood.
(I might fall in love with a lot of girls during my time at U. A., but one thing is for sure: Himiko-chan will always be on top of everyone.)
