Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Arrow to the Knee!

"I'll take these pirates!"

Just as Eric happily tied up Jango and the two Cat Brothers, Jake directly threw ten million Berries to Eric.

Ten million Berries, with each bill worth ten thousand Berries, was only ten stacks of money.

"No problem, no problem!"

Eric excitedly took the money; after all, Jango's bounty was nine million Berries, and the Cat Brothers together were only seven million Berries.

Greedy Eric didn't even share with Van Augur, choosing to keep the ten million Berries for himself.

Van Augur said nothing, merely watching Eric's actions indifferently.

However, when Eric saw Jango and the two pirates being fitted with slave collars, he felt that Jake and Van Augur's gazes at him were a bit strange.

A chill involuntarily ran down his neck.

After dealing with the Black Cat Pirates, three warships and one pirate ship, with its pirate flag replaced by the Goa Kingdom's flag, sailed towards Syrup Village.

Shortly after they left, the cannon fire and Wind Blade that Jake had previously exiled flew out of thin air, crashing violently onto the sea surface and stirring up waves.

The scene was extremely bizarre.

Syrup Village.

Four warships sailed directly into the port.

Jake, who had been cultivating, finally disembarked, intending to personally meet Kuro of a Hundred Plans, who possessed the Silent Step.

"Is His Majesty going to act personally?"

"Then I'm going to miss out on a big fish; Kuro's head is worth sixteen million Berries."

Eric felt quite regretful when he saw Jake disembark, but he also wanted to see Jake's true strength.

Kuro of a Hundred Plans, with a bounty of sixteen million Berries, was considered a top-tier pirate in the East Blue.

What would be the limit of Jake's strength?

"Kuro of a Hundred Plans's bounty has already been canceled," Van Augur said indifferently, shouldering his gun. This Eric had already become Jake's target, yet he didn't realize it.

If Eric didn't join Jake's command, Van Augur knew that he would definitely be fitted with a slave collar by Jake.

His Majesty couldn't tolerate any sand in his eyes.

If he didn't show respect, he would probably be exiled.

Meanwhile, Usopp and the others on the island, seeing strangers disembark, quickly rushed back to Kaya's house to report.

Jake and his group followed closely, while the rest of the Royal Guard had already surrounded the entire Syrup Village.

"Oh no! Oh no!"

"There's an army landing in the village!"

Usopp shouted in a panic along the way, startling the villagers.

"An army landing isn't pirates landing, what are you afraid of?" A villager cursed Usopp.

"Oh right, it's not pirates, why am I shouting?"

"No, wait! Onion Head, quick, hide our pirate flag!" Usopp reacted and urgently shouted at one of his subordinates.

In the village, he was 'Captain Usopp of the Usopp Pirates,' who 'had eight thousand subordinates.'

Those soldiers wouldn't be here to arrest him, would they?

This thought made him break out in a cold sweat.

As Usopp shouted along the way, Kuro, disguised as the butler Klahadore, appeared at the mansion's entrance with a gloomy expression.

Was this lying, long-nosed brat bothering Kaya again?

He wouldn't have discovered anything unusual about Kaya, would he?

However, when he saw the figures following Usopp, his face instantly changed dramatically.

He had faked his death and hidden in Syrup Village to seize Kaya's family fortune precisely because he was relentlessly pursued by the Marine and Bounty Hunters.

He hadn't expected to attract these powerful Bounty Hunters so quickly again.

He recognized Eric the Whirlwind and Van Augur, two famous Bounty Hunters in the East Blue.

Especially Erick, that mad dog.

"Damn it! Who exposed me?!"

"Was it Jango and those guys?!"

Kuro turned and ran without a word, his eyes extremely cold.

For all pirates in the East Blue, Eric the Whirlwind, who had long been active near the entrance to the Grand Line, was definitely an incredibly powerful enemy.

Even Kuro had no confidence in dealing with this powerful ability user.

Not to mention Van Augur, the famous sniper.

"Jango, if you really betrayed me, I will definitely slice you into a thousand pieces!" Kuro gritted his teeth, directly setting his target for revenge on his former First Mate, Jango.

He had been in Syrup Village for over a year without being discovered.

Besides Jango's betrayal, he couldn't think of any other possibility.

"Bang!" X3

"Don't move! Kuro~"

As a sniper, Van Augur was the first to open fire, directly starting the fight.

Just as he would in the future, he was the first to attack Fire Fist Ace, who was in pursuit.

Two shots to the chest, one to the head, even the King of Hell would shake his head.

"Damn it!"

Kuro narrowly dodged Van Augur's three sniper shots, but blood dripped from his shoulder.

"Don't kill me, don't kill me!" Hearing the gunshots, Usopp immediately covered his head and knelt down, his eyes filled with fear.

Especially the sound of bullets whizzing past his ear and the turbulent airflow made him break out in a cold sweat, and his pants felt warm.

This 'sniper' who played with a slingshot, surprisingly, was afraid when he heard gunshots.

Usopp thought he was going to die here today.

However, these people ignored him one by one and walked towards Kuro and the mansion.

Meanwhile, Kuro, wounded, rushed back to his room and pulled out his Ten Blades from a secret cabinet.

"You all must die!"

Kuro skillfully put on his Ten Blades, his eyes filled with madness and killing intent.

If he couldn't escape, then he would fight to the death.

If these Bounty Hunters dared to underestimate him, people would die.

As long as he could successfully get close to Van Augur, the sniper, he believed he could definitely kill that bastard.

'Silent Step!'

As these Bounty Hunters entered the mansion, Kuro directly launched an attack on Van Augur, the most dangerous sniper.

Van Augur merely quickly raised his gun but didn't fire. Even Eric didn't move, only watching Jake.

"Silent Step, huh?"

"But you've already entered my domain," Jake said slowly, and Kuro, who had turned into an afterimage, completely disappeared.

'Indeed, even Kuro of a Hundred Plans's Silent Step cannot escape Jake's exile ability.'

Eric grew increasingly wary of Jake's ability, truly fearing that this king might, if displeased, exile him to some godforsaken place.

He didn't want to disappear from this world!

Jake slowly drew his golden flintlock pistol and fired a shot directly into the air.

"Bang!"

With the gunshot, Kuro suddenly appeared in front.

Pfft!

Kuro was shot directly in the thigh, and the immense impact made him collapse.

"The Celestial Dragons' golden imperial pistol, it has good power, doesn't it?" Jake blew on the gun barrel's smoke and asked Van Augur with a light smile.

"It's more than five times stronger than market-grade flintlock pistols," Van Augur calmly stated his assessment. The gunpowder and bullets specially supplied to the Celestial Dragons were indeed of the highest quality.

"How is this possible! You actually managed to hit me!" Kuro couldn't believe these bastards could shoot him while he was in his Shadow Step state.

He knew that back then, he had faced the guns and cannons of an entire ship of soldiers and slaughtered every single soldier on a warship.

"Don't believe it? Then have another shot!" Jake raised his hand and fired another shot, and Kuro, his body tensed, flashed in and out of existence, and was shot again, with no time to react whatsoever.

"Ah!" Kuro cried out unwillingly, shot in both legs.

Why was this happening?!

Had his more than a year of lurking made him regress to the point where he couldn't even dodge bullets anymore?
