Chapter 7 - Tenka.

When I got to the Danx castle, Felix was shocked to see me again. "You got all the money?" He said curiously. "Yes, and I also gained knowledge." I replied smugly. "Alright, I'll schedule your boat, it leaves in 2 days." He said. "Okay, thanks", I said with a mix of happiness and nervousness. I left the castle and I went to find someone to sell my house to. I asked a mercenary at the guild and they said they would be happy to buy it for 3 gold, and I accepted.

I moved out my stuff and I put it inside my box and then I went to the red lights district. I wasn't able to go before because I had to stleast be an adult, which is 15 in this world. I went and looked around for anything of value. I went in at night and saw all of the vibrant lights and the paper lanterns. I saw lots of bars and prostitution houses but I didn't enter them. I then saw a slave auction that caught my eyes so I went inside to see.

Inside, I saw a variety of slaves, from elves to orcs and to normal humans. A specific goblin caught my eye and I joined the auction. The price went up and up, but then someone pointed out that goblins can't use advanced magic so people stopped bidding one by one. I bought them for 26 silver. They were a child goblin with dark green skin and red pupils. An attendant took me out after the auction to claim my slave.

"Here's he is", they said with a practiced smile. "Okay" I replied. "Are they literate?" I questioned. "Yes, and they even know some magic." They replied. "Okay, pleasure doing business." I said with a slight smile. I went outside and took them to an inn for the night. It was only 20 extra copper for a 2 person room. "Im Centi, what's your name?" I said with a warm smile. "Tenka." He said with a blank expression. "We leave for the main continent in 2 days, is there anything you need before then?"

His expression changed noticeably when I said that we were leaving. "I need to get something." Tenka said with a serious look. "Okay, we can get it in the morning." I said with a small smile. We went to bed that night but I kept my mace out of the box just in case. I awoke the next morning and I put my armor on. I offered Tenka the slingshot, but he declined.

I followed him and he lead me to a worn down stone building with a rotting stench. I went inside and found a skeleton inside, along with a skull that glowed purple. As I entered the back room the skeleton animated itself and the skull floated in the air with a purple aura. I heard a voice from the skull and I saw Tenka's eyes water. "Master." He said. "I'm finally going to the new continent!" He said whilst trying to hold back his tears. "I see. I will definitely miss you, Tenka. You were my finest disciple, but when I heard you got enslaved, I couldn't do anything bec-" Tenka cut the skull off and said "Its okay, I just wanted to tell you I am leaving." The skull nodded and he shattered, leaving only the purple glow behind.

The light entered Tenka's body, and he glowed a purple light. I saw this in awe because even though I've seen aura be transferred, I've never seen mana before, the foundation of all magic. "I use necromancy", Tenka explained while wiping his face. "I can reanimate skeletons to go back to life." He continued.

I listened intently because I've heard of necromancy in the library, and it is a forbidden black magic used by the demonic races. After recovering from my initial shock, I said, "Let's get some bones then." "There's no way to store the bones without a magic pouch, and those things cost dozens of gold.

I sighed and pulled out 10 gold from my box. We can use this to get you a small pouch at the city, let's go back" I said. On the way back, we got surrounded by the Kirken Bandits. "We are going to need all of that armor you got there kiddo", the leader said with a grin. I recognized that man, it was the same guy from 8 years ago. I felt my veins burn with rage, and I was not about to lose to him twice. I channeled my aura around my eyes, arms and feet and I moved towards him. He didn't have time to react.

I swung at him with the club reinforced with my aura and it broke right through his thick skull. I felt a guilt float away, as I knew that I avenged all the people who were done wrong by the bandit boss.

The other bandits tried to use Tenka hostage, but he used a fireball spell to burn the bandits face, then I used the slingshot to finish him off. When I checked the boss' body, I found 30 gold and also a orb appeared from his body. It flew into my body and I got stronger. I finally realized what the orb is. The first orb I obtained let me gain aura, and by killing other people with aura I gain theirs.

But one thing made me curious. That otherworlder I killed didn't use aura, but I still obtained strength. I realized that I also gained energy if I kill a mage and not just an aura user. I then collected the bandits' heads because they had a bounty on them. We went back to the town and bought a large magic bag for Tenka.

Then we stopped at the guildhouse and claimed their bounties. 1 gold for the leader and 3 silvers for each of the bandits. We made 1 gold and 12 silver altogether. We took the heads of the bandits back to their bodies because Tenka said he could make them into skeleton soldiers. A purple circle glowed under the corpses and the skin on the bodies decomposed. Then the skeletons left over stood up and their eyes glowed purple.

He put them inside his storage for now and we went to the inn to sleep for the last time before out boat departs.
