A guy was running away but was intercepted by a fireball and got slashed across the back and collapsed.
'That's one down.'
I then looked at my teammates. They were already engaging the other three members of the squad I had just crippled.
WHOOSH
A spear blurred through the air and struck the guy with enough force to knock him unconscious instantly.
'Jin. He is a spear user, so he is strictly close combat.'
Then I glanced to the right. A student with a sword managed to parry an arrow mid-flight, but he was immediately hit with ice magic and instantly lost.
'Yuki, an ice mage. And Sora who uses a bow, though she also handles herself at close range with a dagger if someone gets too close.'
The last opponent was a bow user who managed to loose an arrow toward Yuki. I reacted instantly, launching a fireball at the perfect moment to intercept the projectile mid-air. With the opening I created, Yuki fired an ice shard at the archer who had no time to dodge.
The guy was tough and managed to stay on his feet. He frantically notched another arrow and aimed for Yuki again, but I was already there. I stepped in front of her and parried the arrow away before he could land the hit.
Sora finished the fight. She let an arrow fly that struck him squarely on the forehead, knocking him to the ground.
After that, we quickly went to find more teams. After a while, we managed to take out two more.
I was chasing the last member of the fourth team we found. He stopped and turned to face me, gripping his sword tight.
I immediately cast a fireball. He dodged it and rushed me. I cast another fireball and immediately another one again. The first one missed, but the second caught him off guard.
Since he was already close, I went for a punch. He managed to block it with his sword, but I countered instantly with a sharp calf kick. As his leg buckled, I whipped my body into a 160° turn and slammed my foot into his neck.
He managed to stand up but I didn't let him. I cast multiple fireballs and defeated the guy. Suddenly something felt off and I immediately ducked as a fire spell hit the tree in front of me.
I quickly glanced behind me and saw four people. It was Edna and Felix and two others behind them.
'Not you two.'
I quickly cast 5 fireballs at once and left running. I managed to escape them and hid behind a tree.
Later I saw them passing by. Edna and Felix were in the front and their two teammates, the bow user and the mage, were following behind them. Another team appeared and tried to fight them. As I expected Edna and Felix won easily.
I took the chance to rush their mage while they were distracted. I cast a fireball at his face and squarely punched him in the face. He went down.
The bow user immediately tried to shoot me with an arrow but I pulled out my sword quickly and slashed it. I rushed him with my sword and got a stab on him.
But I was quickly disrupted by Edna and had to dodge her fire spell. Felix also rushed me. I blocked with my sword but I was still knocked back. I retaliated with a fireball and he just slashed the flame off.
"Tsk."
I quickly tried to block again but he slashed my side. I jumped back touching my hip. I quickly stood up and then ran away.
'I at least got one of them.'
I managed to escape them and went back to look for my team. I later found them but they were being attacked. I quickly stepped in and since I was behind the enemies I defeated their backlines. I knocked two down while my team beat the other two.
