Chapter 10 - FUED CONT'D

CHAPTER NINE

When Blood Becomes Leverage

Noel was released from the hospital two weeks later.

He walked slower.

Moved carefully.

But his eyes hadn't changed.

Madison Moore watched him descend the staircase at home, noting every slight wince, every controlled breath.

"You don't have to rush recovery," Madison said.

Noel met his gaze.

"I know."

That was all.

Mrs. Riley served breakfast in silence.

Tiffany watched the men closely.

Queensley sensed it too.

Something had shifted.

A Meeting Long Overdue.

The invitation arrived that afternoon.

PRIVATE ARBITRATION MEETING

Madison–Wilson Corporate Dispute

Greyview Aviation Council

Madison Moore smiled when he read it.

Jonathan Wilson had finally blinked.

The meeting room was glass and steel.

Neutral territory.

Caroline and Riley sat opposite each other.

They did not speak."they didn't have to".

Never had to.

Madison and Jonathan did.

Every word measured.

Every pause intentional.

"This began with our sons,

" Jonathan said.

Madison corrected him calmly.

"No. This began long before that."

Jonathan leaned back.

"You want compensation."

"I want acknowledgment,"

Madison replied.

"And restraint."

Jonathan's eyes hardened.

"You're asking me to discipline my son publicly."

Madison didn't flinch.

"I'm asking you to teach him consequence."

Silence stretched.

Caroline finally spoke.

"Our children are not chess pieces."

Riley met her gaze.

"Then stop moving them like pawns."

Cracks in the Armor

Alexander waited in the car outside.

He watched executives enter and leave.

He felt small.

For the first time.

Lisa sat beside him.

"You scared him," she said suddenly.

"Who?"

"Noel."

Alexander scoffed weakly.

"He's fine."

Lisa turned to him.

"You weren't trying to win," she said.

"You were trying to erase him."

What got into you.?? It was supposed to be a just a race .

Was never meant to happen till you challenged him.

The words hit harder than any accusation.

Alexander looked away.

The Cost of Victory

The meeting ended without smiles.

No handshakes.

No resolution.

Only understanding.

Madison Moore returned home and stood beside Noel's bedroom door for a long moment before knocking.

"You didn't ask for this," he said.

Noel shrugged slightly.

"Still happened."

Madison nodded.

"Yes," he said. "And now it will finish."

Noel met his eyes.

"Make sure it finishes clean."

Madison smiled faintly.

"It won't," he admitted. "But it will end."

The families did not explode.

They calcified.

The war moved underground—lawsuits, audits, media whispers, strategic leaks.

Evalon High watched.

Greyview waited.

And Noel Madison—

Still healing.

Still distant.

Still dominant—

Became the quiet axis everything revolved around.

Not because he demanded it.

But because surviving had changed the rules.
