Minato Namikaze left with the wounded Genin and the terrified brats.

Now, only Qianyu, Kushina Uzumaki, Jiraiya, and Tsunade remained.

Kushina's gaze towards Jiraiya and Tsunade was filled with wariness and distrust. To her now, anyone Qianyu considered an enemy, or anyone who held hostility towards him, was not a good person.

Jiraiya couldn't care less.

But Tsunade had a headache coming on.

Kushina Uzumaki was a clanswoman of her grandmother, Mito Uzumaki. Coming to Konoha, she was essentially Mito's only remaining blood relative. Tsunade herself carried Uzumaki blood. By that logic, Kushina was her kin too.

More importantly, Tsunade knew exactly why Kushina was brought to Konoha. Konoha couldn't possibly overprotect her. And yet, that Genin brat had actually thrown a real kunai at her!

Tsunade was furious at the little whelp, but she still had to intervene. He was, after all, a Konoha ninja.

Then there was this Qianyu boy.

Tsunade knew of him. The incident back then had caused quite the stir. Even Mito had complained to her about it. Qianyu, a boy with the mixed blood of Senju and Uchiha, was an outcast—rejected by his own clan, made a sacrificial pawn, and hated by every villager in Konoha.

What surprised Tsunade was how close Qianyu and Kushina seemed. He was willing to break the limbs of those two brats for her. Hadn't Kushina just arrived in Konoha? Did they know each other before?

As Tsunade pondered this, her eyes inadvertently flicked to the bloodstains on the ground.

Her pupils constricted. A faint tremor ran through her body.

Her hemophobia was kicking in.

Jiraiya noticed immediately. He stepped in front of her, blocking her view. "I'll take these two to see the old man," he said. "Tsunade, you should rest."

Tsunade took several deep breaths, forcing her racing heart—sped up by the phobia—to slow. "I'm fine. I'll go with you to see Sensei."

Now that she knew who Kushina and Qianyu were, Tsunade decided she needed to be there.

If Qianyu hadn't threatened to maim those brats, this wouldn't be a big deal. But he had. If Hiruzen Sarutobi found out, Qianyu would likely face punishment.

Seeing Tsunade's resolve, Jiraiya didn't argue. He turned to the two kids. "Alright, come with us to see the Hokage."

Qianyu spoke up suddenly. "This has nothing to do with Kushina. I'll go with you."

Before Jiraiya could respond, Kushina gripped Qianyu's hand tightly, her voice frantic. "No, Qianyu! I'm coming with you!"

She shot a distrustful glance at Jiraiya and Tsunade. "I'm afraid someone might… twist the story to the Hokage. You didn't do anything wrong! I need to explain—"

Qianyu sighed inwardly. If Hiruzen decided to punish him, Kushina's explanations wouldn't matter. But he wasn't worried. As long as he proved his value, any punishment would be light. Life would go on as usual.

Kushina was about to argue more when she looked at Qianyu's face. She gasped. "Qianyu! Your eyes!"

"My eyes?"

Puzzled, Qianyu picked up the broken blade from the ground. He used the polished surface as a mirror.

His brow lifted in surprise. A single tomoe spun in each of his crimson irises. He'd awakened the Sharingan. Both eyes.

Back when Tsunade blasted his blade away, he'd known it was over. The chance was gone. He'd relaxed, let his chakra disperse. Then, a sharp sting in his eyes made him blink.

When he opened them again, his vision was sharper. Clearer. Everything seemed to move just a fraction slower. The sudden appearance of Jiraiya and Tsunade had put him on edge, so he hadn't made the connection.

He hadn't expected to unlock the Sharingan like this. By accident.

Jiraiya and Tsunade were staring, mouths slightly agape.

"How old are you, kid?" Jiraiya blurted out.

"Nine."

"Nine?!"

Their shock was palpable. Qianyu found it strange. Why the big reaction?

A moment of thought gave him the answer.

In the Uchiha clan, the earliest recorded awakening belonged to Sasuke Uchiha—at age seven, witnessing his brother's massacre, the trauma sparking a single tomoe. Itachi Uchiha awoke his at eight, after a teammate's death. Shisui Uchiha probably around the same age. Obito Uchiha jumped straight to two tomoe in both eyes at twelve, fueled by rage. Madara Uchiha himself didn't awaken his until fifteen.

Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, Obito—none of them were born yet. Right now, Qianyu might be the earliest awakener in Uchiha history. There could be earlier cases kept secret, of course. But nine years old? That placed him firmly in the top tier.

Now he was even less worried about meeting Hiruzen Sarutobi.

With the Sharingan active, his value had just skyrocketed.

He focused inward. The Sharingan was a constant drain on his chakra. Thanks to his Senju heritage, his reserves at this stage were decent. The system rated him at one-fifth the chakra of Kakashi with a Sharingan active.

But Kakashi was an elite Jōnin. Qianyu was just a kid who hadn't even graduated from the Academy. One-fifth of that probably put him around Chūnin level. And this was his Kekkei Genkai. No foreign-body rejection like Kakashi suffered. His chakra would only grow from here.

Qianyu cut off the chakra flow to his eyes. The crimson and tomoe faded, leaving his usual dark pupils.

Jiraiya and Tsunade finally recovered from their shock. "Let's go," Tsunade said, her voice firm.

Qianyu considered telling Kushina to stay behind one more time. Nothing major would happen. And dealing with the Hokage meant putting on a performance—saying the right things to the right people. Suffering through that alone was enough; no need for both of them to endure it.

But Kushina's hand tightened around his. She stared at him, stubborn, unwavering.

Qianyu sighed in defeat. "Fine. Let's go together."
