Draconis's practical training was very effective.
After two continuous weeks of intense, devilish training, both Dratini and Snivy had made considerable progress.
Especially Dratini.
Its recent high frequency of shedding, almost once a day, showed that it was growing at an extremely fast rate.
Agility, Slam, Dragon Pulse—
Coupled with the previously mastered Wrap, Glare, Twister, Thunder Wave, and Dragon Tail, Dratini had now learned a total of eight moves.
Compared to Dratini, Servine's growth was even more rapid.
This nearly half-month of devilish training allowed it to learn four moves: Energy Ball, Leech Seed, Mega Drain, and Slam.
"Not bad—if it continues like this, Servine will soon be able to evolve into Serperior," Draconis murmured.
He looked at the two Pokémon beside him and said, "Alright, now take a day off. We'll continue the special training tomorrow."
"Woo~"
Dratini had no objections; it would do whatever Draconis said.
Servine was noncommittal.
It looked at its own body, feeling incredibly surprised by the growth it had achieved over the past half-month.
If it were in the past, it would never have believed it could grow so quickly in such a short time.
"Snivy—"
Draconis noticed Servine's slightly surprised expression and couldn't help but chuckle, "If you keep at it, you'll become even stronger."
In an era where the Trainer system was almost non-existent, even the most common training methods of the future were considered overwhelming in this era.
Not to mention that humans of this era knew very little about Pokémon, having no idea what types were, what moves were, let alone their type advantages and disadvantages.
Upon hearing this, Servine's eyes filled with fighting spirit.
No Pokémon could resist the temptation of becoming stronger.
As he spoke, Draconis turned his gaze to the Larvesta nearby.
After this period of interaction, this Larvesta's favorability towards him had risen from 80 to 100.
Perhaps this was the benefit of a Trainer personally hatching an egg? Draconis couldn't help but think.
Pokémon are naturally very close to the first person they see when they open their eyes.
Draconis waved, and Larvesta happily crawled over, wagging its tail like a puppy.
It looked up at Draconis with its clear, earnest blue eyes, much like a Golden Retriever.
Draconis stroked Larvesta's head; although it was an insect, it felt surprisingly soft and fluffy to the touch, unbelievably pleasant.
Draconis even had an urge to bury his face in its white fur.
But then again, compared to ordinary Pokémon, Larvesta was really quite large!
Pokémon grow very quickly; in just seven days, Larvesta had already grown to nearly 1.2 meters.
Draconis even felt that, even as a larva, this Larvesta's strength was by no means comparable to that of an ordinary Larvesta.
After all, it was the descendant of a Pokémon whose strength had reached legendary levels.
"Larvesta, how about I take you out to play for a while?" Draconis asked.
"Meeh!"
Larvesta immediately let out a cheer like a child.
"Great, let's go!" Draconis smiled.
Dratini and Servine were both very tired, so Draconis simply let them stay home and rest.
He took Larvesta and left the house.
In early May, the temperature gradually rose, and the air slowly warmed up.
It wasn't scorching hot, but a very comfortable temperature. Draconis walked on the red brick road laid by the workers, occasionally feeling a breeze from the wilderness, making him feel refreshed and at ease.
Although it was already evening, the workers and Machoke building the town had not yet finished work; they toiled between the towns, covered in sweat.
Though it was hard work, everyone had smiles on their faces.
"Your Highness Draconis!" Seeing Draconis, everyone's eyes lit up, and they quickly called out.
"Remember to rest, don't overwork yourselves," Draconis responded with a smile.
"Yes!"
Passing through the unfinished town, Draconis and Larvesta arrived at an open grassy area.
Draconis intended to understand Larvesta's strength. He glanced at the moves Larvesta currently knew and then said:
"Come on, Larvesta, let me see how powerful you are. Use Flamethrower!"
Pokémon's methods for using moves are ingrained deep in their genes. Even hearing the name Flamethrower for the first time, Larvesta instantly understood Draconis's meaning.
"Meeh!"
As the sound fell, the five red antennae on Larvesta's head rapidly heated up at a visible speed. Terrifying Fire-type energy gathered within them, eventually transforming into scorching flames that burst forth simultaneously from all five antennae.
Those five streams of flame ultimately merged into a single, thicker, and more terrifying stream of fire, which then roared forward.
The grass in the path of the flames was instantly scorched black, leaving a clear trace on the ground.
Seeing this, Draconis's pupils contracted.
The power of this Flamethrower was definitely not something a young Pokémon should possess!
What's going on? Is it because that Volcarona passed on its essence to Larvesta?
If so, what stage has this Larvesta's initial strength reached—
Draconis looked over in disbelief.
And Larvesta was also looking at him, its eyes full of anticipation, with an expression asking for praise.
"Well done, Larvesta!" Draconis praised without reservation.
"Meeh!" Larvesta indeed became excited and thrilled.
Next, Draconis had Larvesta demonstrate Fiery Dance, Flame Charge, Fire Spin, and Sunny Day, respectively.
Larvesta would only continue to use a move after Draconis praised it.
"You're doing great, Larvesta." Draconis stroked Larvesta's head. He was very pleasantly surprised by Larvesta's performance.
If he could further train Larvesta, he would have enough power to protect himself.
As dusk settled, Draconis sat with Larvesta for a while longer before returning home.
The maids brought dinner: bread and ham sandwiches, several servings of mashed potatoes, two grilled fish, several steamed eggs, and several cups of Berry Juice.
The bread was baked from flour milled from wheat grown in the territory; it was soft, sweet, and very delicious.
The mashed potatoes were also made from potatoes harvested from the fields, sprinkled with a layer of black sesame seeds, and had a rich, mellow taste.
Draconis ate a few bites, then suddenly remembered something and ordered a maid to call Alfred.
Draconis himself casually filled his stomach, then let the Pokémon play at home, and he went to the Lord's Hall.
"Your Highness, what are your orders?" The Old Butler had already finished dinner. He was about to come and report the situation when he heard Draconis was looking for him, so he quickly rushed over.
"How many seeds did we buy from the traveling merchant last time?" Draconis asked.
"Oh, that?" Alfred had thought it was something urgent. Hearing this, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, then slowly began to report.
"They were all good quality wheat and rice seeds. Besides those, there were also many vegetable seeds."
