It has been a entire day since I arrived in this world and fought that shadow bear, so far I haven't run into any more monsters, I guess that bear was the boss around these parts.
I spent a entire night "sleeping" in the cave using the fur from the bear as a bed....a very crude bed thankfully the bear gave me one thousand points which I used to get the skill of storage space.
-Storage Space: Level One-
Able to open a five cubic meter storage space, can store any non living item inside, any living creature besides the host that tries to enter will be blocked.
This is the first skill that has a level and can be upgraded, what does that mean for the rest of my skills, is it because the rest of the skills are unique or is it because they are at the max they can reach, I'll have plenty of time to figure this all out later currently I have a more pressing matter.
"Alex, what are we going to do for food?" Felicity says as she holds her stomach
"you are a goddess do you even need to eat?" I ask shaking my head
"yes, I need to eat while in the mortal world I am as much a mortal as you...well technically anyway" Felicity says as if she want's to gloss over something
"I just realised that you never told me where this is, or even what this world is called....we can't just keep referring to it as the mortal world" I say feeling like there is more important things to do
I start to gather sticks for a fire because with the aid of hunters sense I can tell that the shadow bear is edible, it might not taste all that good but it's still food.
"This world is called Tera it is a splinter world that was formed at the same time as earth, your old world which was why I could watch you and be there in your final moments, even though I had to make a contract with someone in your old world to be there for you" Felicity says as if hiding something from me, but I guess that is her business.
While she was talking I had gathered enough sticks and bits of wood from the battle with the shadow bear to make a fire, as for how the fire was started that was simple I was a soldier in my last life so basic survival skills are something that every soldier had to learn, cooking on the other hand.
yeah that was never a strength I had ever mastered, if anything it might have been one of my biggest weak spots in survival training, not to say I cant cook but I only know the basics of how not to get sick or poisoned.
"want some Bear?" I ask Felicity
"we don't really have any other option" Felicity says laughing a little

After we finish eating our very chewy and gritty bear meat that I barely cooked I snuff out the fire, the last thing we need is to have a forest fire, as I start to walk towards the river felicity turns into her bird form and rests on my head as if I'm her mount.
"where to my goddess?" I ask in a joking manner
"If I remember correctly if you walk up stream far enough there should be a village where we can get information about where exactly we are" Felicity says, clearly she hasn't been paying attention to this world

We wander up stream talking, Felicity was very curious about how I managed to survive all the torment and training I went thru back in my old world, I jokingly told her it was because she was there by my side, she just had to point out the fact I didn't know that she was watching me the entire time.
It did make me chuckle when I pointed out that she must have been watching everything, and she got flustered when realizing that I was insinuating that she saw everything from me waking up to exercising all the way to me changing and bathing, thankfully she said she didn't do that....but that was just her words so I can't completely trust them.
"we should be getting close to the village by now" Felicity says
"yeah, but remember to stay in your bird form so it doesn't attract too much attention" I say since I can sense something amiss just up ahead
as we get past the ridge line of trees the village comes into sight but even from a distance I can tell that the place is not in the best of conditions, pillars of smoke and the glow of fire can been seen from a distance for a moment I contemplate rushing in to try and help but as I go to start moving forward I stop remembering that this has nothing to do with me.
"why aren't you rushing to help them?" Felicity asks clearly worried about the villagers
"firstly, I said I wasn't going to put myself in danger for people I don't know" I say pausing for a moment as I feel Felicity getting agitated
"Secondly, I don't know why the village is on fire, if it's because of monsters then I don't know how many are in there, but if it's humans then I don't know if how strong they are" I say as I move to a clearing where I can see into the village
"you make a good point, but we can't stand by as innocent people are in danger" Felicity says clearly not understanding how the mortal world operates
"so are you expecting me to help everyone I come across?" I ask
Felicity goes quiet for a moment and during that time I view into the village from a distance, besides the buildings on fire and the smoke billowing into the sky there isn't much to see, that is until I gaze upon village centre where I can see a group of people in armour gathering up what I can only assume is the villagers.
"it seems like there is only about ten armoured people in the town probably bandits" I say as I start to walk towards the village entrance
"are you going to save the villagers?" Felicity asks clearly happy that I'm willing to help the people
"yeah I would feel bad if I didn't at least attempt to do something" I sigh
As I work my way into the village I knockout anyone who is acting aggressive towards the people who are clearly just farmers, by the time I get close to the centre of the village I have Knocked out twenty or so armoured people
From a distance they look like uniformed armoured units but upon a closer inspection it is clear that they just scraped together whatever armour they could get, some hade plated armour and some had just leather so far nothing serious.
that was until I saw the obvious leader of this operation he was a big man in plate armour even then it was clearly just a bunch of random pieces, none of the designs matched and it was clearly a too small for a man of his stature.
Suddenly he turns and looks directly at me as if he knew I was approaching
"so you are the man that's been knocking out my men" He says with a wicked smile on his face
"I guess you knew when I entered the village" I say realising that this must have been a trap
"there isn't anything around this area that the boss of the Shadow Fang doesn't know" He says as if I should know who the shadow fang is
"so you are a bandit, no wonder you are attacking this village" I say as I observe the group before me, suddenly I notice that there is two people less then when I observed from outside the village
That's when my Hunters sense triggers a warning from behind me, so it can also detect sneak attacks, that makes this easier.
I suddenly turn and reach out and accurately grab the head of the man sneaking up on me.
"so you are the one that's been keeping an eye on me, must be either an assassin type or maybe a scout" I say as I turn and look at the leader of this group of bandits, I slowly start to squeeze tightly on the guys head hearing a slight cracking noise.
"you see I haven't taken another persons life yet, but I'm not stupid enough to let you guys stay alive just to come after me or gather a bigger group" I say, suddenly the guy in my hands slashes a dagger at my throat but before it even gets close I squeeze even harder which causes his head to explode with a loud pop, as his body hits the ground I turn to the leader.
"see, he just proved that I shouldn't let you guys go" I say with a slight smile forming on my lips
