Chapter 135: Official Move-in
Halfway through organizing his luggage, Kaede heard movement from outside through his open door, as well as Eriri and Sawamura Sayuri's voices.
Stopping what he was doing, Kaede walked out and said, "Aunt Sayuri, Eriri, you've arrived."
"Kaede-kun!"
Eriri, pulling her luggage, came to Kaede with a slightly flushed face and said, "When did you get here?"
"Just about ten minutes ago."
Patting Eriri's head, Kaede said to Sawamura Sayuri, "Aunt Sayuri, my mom went to buy groceries. She said everyone should eat here for lunch."
Sawamura Sayuri readily agreed, then said to Eriri, "Eriri, you go unpack your luggage. I'll check if anything was overlooked during the previous setup here."
Sawamura Sayuri stayed in the living room, while the two children went back to their respective bedrooms to organize.
Compared to Eriri, Kaede, being a boy, naturally had fewer things, and he started organizing earlier, finishing up after a while.
After washing his face in the bathroom, he went to Eriri's bedroom door.
The door was also open, and Kaede, leaning against the doorway, saw Eriri inside, putting clothes into the wardrobe.
Knocking on the door to get Eriri's attention, Kaede asked, "How much have you organized?"
"Still some clothes left."
Returning to her luggage, Eriri took out the clothes inside and said to Kaede, "Kaede-kun, please put those books over there on the bookshelf for me."
Kaede smiled and walked in, squatting in front of Eriri, then pointed to his lips.
Seeing this, Eriri said with a slight blush, "Mom is still outside..."
"It's okay, just one quick one. I'm helping you with all this, you have to give me some reward, right?"
Eriri hesitated, but seeing Kaede's 'no rabbit, no hawk' look, she could only glance at the door, then quickly leaned in and pecked Kaede's lips.
After the kiss, Eriri tried to suppress her racing heart and glared at Kaede, "Hurry up and get to work!"
Licking his lips, Kaede said contentedly, "Understood!"
The books Eriri wanted on the bookshelf were mostly manga, light novels, and some drawing-related books, or physical copies of games she liked.
After organizing the bookshelf, Kaede sat down at the desk and opened Eriri's laptop that was placed there.
Instead of playing games, Kaede opened the browser directly after the computer booted up and logged into his social media account.
He didn't follow many people on his account, just a few friends from around, and some senpais from Shuchiin.
And the most prominent among them was naturally Fujiwara Chika.
Last week, Kaede had seen her night view photos from Paris, France. Today, he saw that she had already gone to Hawaii.
"Tsk tsk, Fujiwara-senpai certainly had a fulfilling summer vacation."
Eriri, who had finished hanging her clothes, walked over and also saw the photos. But unlike Kaede's exclamation, Eriri directly took the mouse and closed the page.
The reason was simple: in the photos, Fujiwara Chika was wearing a swimsuit, and there were two other girls who looked similar to her, also in swimsuits, one of whom even had a better figure than Fujiwara Chika.
Turning his head, Kaede looked at Eriri's pouting expression and smiled helplessly, "Eriri, are you really jealous even of this?"
"Hmph!" Eriri turned her head away and whispered, "Men really do like big ones, don't they..."
Seeing this, Kaede knew that Eriri's complaints about her figure were about to start again. He pulled her onto his lap, hugged her, and said with a smile, "Eriri, what you said isn't quite accurate. You should say, men like pretty ones."
"Isn't that even worse?!"
"I haven't finished yet." Pinching Eriri's cheek, Kaede continued, "As for other people, whether they look at me or not, I don't really care. But for photos friends post on social media like just now, at most, I look at them with an appreciative eye for beauty. But for you, Eriri..."
"Me... what about me?"
Eriri was a little curious about what Kaede would say.
Leaning closer to Eriri, Kaede whispered in her ear, "And for you, Eriri, I will always look at you with the intention of desiring your body."
"Ugh... w-what nonsense are you saying!"
After shouting with a mix of shyness and secret delight, Eriri took advantage of Kaede's distraction, slipped out of his embrace, and dashed out of her room.
Turning his chair, Kaede looked at the fully open door because Eriri had run out, scratched his cheek, and said with a smile, "Uh... I was telling the truth, and we're going to be living together from now on, so you can't be this shy."
However, Kaede didn't follow her out, but leisurely sat in front of the computer, continuing to surf the internet.
On the other side, after Eriri rushed out, she first went to the bathroom to wash her face and calm down, taking a few minutes before coming out.
Arriving in the living room, since the kitchen was open-plan, Eriri saw her mother and Aunt Reiko preparing lunch.
So she walked over and said, "Let me help too."
Asakura Reiko learned from Sawamura Sayuri that Eriri was learning to cook, and she was even more pleased with the girl, smiling and waving to Eriri, "Come here, Eriri, today I'll teach you my specialty dish."
"Okay!"
Eriri immediately rushed over excitedly, ready to learn properly.
In the afternoon, after lunch, Asakura Reiko and Sawamura Sayuri left after many instructions, and finally, only Kaede and Eriri were left in the house.
Suddenly finding themselves in such a situation, neither Eriri nor Kaede had quite recovered.
Sitting on the sofa, Kaede finally couldn't help but laugh, "Let's go, we've been delayed for two days because of the new house, it's really time to start working."
Eriri also realized she was being a bit too shy, so after a smile, she followed Kaede to the workspace.
The workspace was simply furnished: two computer desks, a sofa for resting, and a huge bookshelf. Kaede and Eriri's various figure collections were already displayed here, but there was still plenty of space left, hopefully to be filled in the future.
After settling down and turning on the computer, Kaede thought of something and said to Eriri beside him, "Eriri, since we've moved to a new house, should we invite people over as a housewarming party?"
Eriri had never thought of this and said in surprise, "...Huh? A housewarming party? Kaede-kun, are you thinking of...?"
"Everyone from the Art Club, Kitamura and Takasu, of course, and Oosaka Taiga who lives in the same building, and Kushieda Minori. What do you think?"
Eriri didn't say anything, but her expression already revealed that she was quite interested.
