Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: A Dazzling Entrance Like a Blade

Cheng Sui scanned the hall. He didn't see any Boston lobsters, but he did see Fingel waving his 'shrimp claws'.

"Hey, junior, do you know what you look like right now? You're like the male lead in a Korean drama crashing a wedding." Fingel pulled Cheng Sui aside, pointing at the school emblem on Cheng Sui's clothes. "Why are you wearing your school uniform? Didn't I tell you... Oh, I guess I didn't tell you to wear formal attire."

Cheng Sui rolled his eyes and said grumpily, "Don't overthink it. I'm just here to freeload dinner. Nono and I aren't close. Even if she gets engaged to Caesar tonight, it has nothing to do with me. How did you get in, though? Did Caesar send you an invitation too?"

Cheng Sui eyed Fingel suspiciously, wondering if Fingel had snuck in through a window to steal food.

Fingel dramatically clutched his chest, saying with anguish, "Junior, how can you look at me like that? I'm at least a one, two, three... seven-dynasty veteran, and the head of the News Department. Tomorrow, the Night Watchman Forum will be waiting for me to lead the report. Caesar should at least give me an invitation."

Cheng Sui nodded, thinking Fingel made sense. He looked around and asked curiously, "So, where's the Boston lobster? If there isn't any, I'm leaving."

"It's on the second floor! The second floor is where we eat. The first floor is their ballroom. Junior, why are you only thinking about food the moment you walk in? Aren't you curious about the outcome of Caesar's confession tonight?"

Cheng Sui tilted his head in confusion, looking at Fingel, wondering why Fingel always thought he should care about Nono. "What does their romance have to do with me? I'm just here for the delicious food."

With that, Cheng Sui headed straight for the second floor, his gaze not lingering in the ballroom for a second.

Fingel froze for a second, then quickly followed Cheng Sui. "Junior, wait for me."

Cheng Sui looked back at Fingel, who was sticking to him like a piece of taffy, and said helplessly, "Shouldn't you be pointing your camera at Caesar or Nono? What's the deal with always following me?"

Fingel casually picked up a plate of chocolate cake from the long dining table, skillfully avoiding the topic. "Oh, this chocolate cake tastes really good. Junior, want to try some?"

Cheng Sui pushed away the chocolate cake Fingel offered, his gaze fixed on the neatly arranged seafood feast on a nearby table.

Among the many delicacies, Boston lobsters were undoubtedly the main attraction. Meticulously cooked, they presented an enticing orange-red color, neatly arranged on a silver platter, cushioned by rosemary and lemon slices. The air was filled with the mixed aroma of spices and lemon.

Cheng Sui's appetite was piqued, and he strode towards the lobsters.

In the ballroom, Caesar held a glass of champagne, his left hand in his suit pants pocket, greeting every guest with a smile.

Earlier, he had seen Cheng Sui enter. Although surprised that Cheng Sui came in his school uniform, his aristocratic upbringing still told him to go up and greet him politely.

But before Caesar could even take a step, Cheng Sui walked directly to the second floor. Caesar paused, then gave a wry smile.

What a truly pure person.

In fact, Caesar sometimes envied people like Cheng Sui, who didn't have to bear the burdens imposed by their families and could live freely.

Normally, Caesar would engage in serious conversations with every guest, quickly finding common interests with his superb conversational skills, and ensuring both parties were pleased within a few words.

But today, Caesar seemed a bit distracted, his gaze wandering around the Amber Hall ballroom for a long time. He scanned the room but couldn't find the person he was looking for. He was searching for that girl, confident that he would be the first to spot her.

But the girl didn't seem to have arrived yet. Would she miss this evening party? However, the roar of an engine dispelled Caesar's doubts.

A red Ferrari 599 roared towards Amber Hall. Just as the car was about to hit the red carpet, it suddenly swerved, executing a clean and almost arrogant drift, precisely stopping in the center of the red carpet, as sharp as the ponytail of the red-haired girl when she looked back, causing a collective gasp from the crowd.

The Ferrari's door opened, rising upwards like an eagle's wing.

First to emerge was a foot clad in bandage-style red high heels. The ankle was slender and delicate; if one hadn't seen it with their own eyes, it would be hard to associate this foot with the violent drift of the Ferrari just moments ago.

The girl stood up straight, the car door slowly descending behind her. The color of her dress was an aggressively vibrant red, yet its design was extremely simple, without any superfluous embellishments, relying solely on perfect tailoring to fit her graceful, undulating figure.

The shoulder straps were delicate, revealing large expanses of fair skin and collarbone, and one side of the skirt had a slit, subtly revealing a long leg as she moved.

The girl stood there, like a gleaming sharp blade itself, announcing her arrival in the most domineering way, as if all the lights were meant only to focus on her entrance.

Caesar walked out of the main door, his steps composed and steady. His golden hair, illuminated by the lights, flowed with a molten gold color, and his ice-blue eyes cut across the crowd, directly locking onto the girl in dazzling red.

Everyone's gaze involuntarily shifted back and forth between the two figures at opposite ends of the red carpet.

At one end was the wild and untamable Red-haired Witch who had just made an explosive entrance.

At the other end was the radiant king, guarding the palace like a leader.

Nono casually tossed her car keys to a nearby attendant, then slightly raised her chin at Caesar, her eyes seeming to say, "You're just going to stand there?"

Caesar understood her gaze, and with a smile on his face, walked towards Nono.

Caesar tilted his head slightly, making an extremely elegant 'please' gesture, his movements suave and natural, as if inviting a familiar dance partner.

Nono naturally placed her hand in his, and the two stepped onto the red carpet.

"Almost late," she said casually, her steps carrying an indifferent laziness.

"But you still made it," Caesar said, holding Nono's hand, a faint smile flashing in his ice-blue eyes. "And it was stunning enough."

His gaze fell on the red carpet and Nono's crimson skirt. "It's like a color reserved for you."

This short red carpet, however, was walked by them with the aura of a thousand armies.

"Damn, junior, aren't you going to come and see? As expected of the girl Caesar fancies, she's too wild. Caesar is a man who likes to control everything, no wonder he likes a girl like Nono." Fingel stood on the second-floor balcony, watching with great interest.

Cheng Sui, his mouth full of perfectly baked Brioche bread and Pan-seared foie gras, followed Fingel's gaze downwards, just in time to see the moment Caesar took Nono's hand.

Mourning for Lu Mingfei for a second in his heart, Cheng Sui mumbled:

"Senior, please get me another portion of Beef Wellington."
