veil had 8 months to prepare for the academy so he did so many quests to the point he was C rank and his weapon of choice changed to a nodachi which he got after completing his 4th quest but he still keeps the daggers just in case or because he may need to throw them

The next exam was the affinity testing exam in this exam you put your hand over a mana crystal and pour mana into it veils affinities are Affinity : lightning,mist,ice mist being his only advanced affinity The next exam was the forest hunt exam with 60000 applicatants only around 3000 will pass and only around 200 graduate
The exam proctor stated the exam is relatively simple you need to hunt monsters

The exam proctor took the applicants to a artificial forest where they will have to hunt each other the applicants spread out as the exam hasn't begun yet and BOOM
Veil heard a loud noise and assumed it was signal for exam to begin so veil spread out and with his nodachi he killed 7 goblins before taking some damage he saw 2 applicants one was a boy with purple hair and blue eyes holding a hammer the other was a girl with green eyes holding a rapier veil jumped up killing the boy and engaged in conflict with the girl but she was quite good at thrusting her rapier and he knew this was gonna be a tough fight so he he grabbed some dirt and threw them in her eyes before heading out because she was someone on par with him meaning either side could win and even if he won he would be severely injured so he continued slaughtering goblins and taking down occasional slimes and whenever a applicant got to close he killed them
