Rion was riding his horse to the capital when he saw Duke Devineris carriage as it contained its household symbol.
He knew that Duke Devineris had distanced himself from every noble family when his wife was killed.
There are many rumors surrounding the House of Devineris and one of them is that he neglected his own daughter because he blamed her for not dying in his wife's place.

When we arrived at the palace the first prince who was born from the current empress now was at the door and smirking at me.

"But your daughter would be up to be married sooner."
The emperor said as he smirked at the duke who was still not backing down.
"And as I said, my daughter's marriage nor her age was none of your concern."
The duke said as he looked at emperor with the same expression that he always had.
"Well if you say so, I would have suggest that she got engaged to one of my sons, after all you are one of my loyal subordinate aren't you?"
The emperor asked the duke with malice on his voice.
"What do you even called me here for?"
The duke asked instead of answering the emperor's question.
"I heard what happened with your daughter and the marquis daughter."
The emperor said as he looked at me.
He knew that I care for Lady Camilla.
Camilla was the daughter of the marquis who was also a close aide to the emperor, that's what the other think.
He was a closed aide of the former empress who happened to be my late mother, they were very closed that the marquis used to bring his daughter her with him whenever he visits us.

I said as I formed my hand into fist as I was really getting mad, Camilla was good lady and was born very frail and how dare this spoiled princess did it to her?
The duke didn't even looked at me like he was disgusted by my mere presence.

The emperor said as he glared at me.
"He was just worried because Lady Camilla and the the crown prince were very close to each other."
He said as he looked at me like he was trying to dismissed me, I know that look...
I needed to prepare myself again later for whatever he is going to do at me.
