Chapter 10 - Sabaody Island

Arlo got back to the room filled with the sex sent, he made sure his make up was perfect, making him as close as possible to the original Varnel. And he also adjusted his hair style, to seem like the ridiculous hair Tenryuubitos seemed to like.

As usual, the mask would do the heavy lifting in terms of making sure he would not be noticed. Next, he opened every closet in Varnel's room, until he found the Celestial Stone, which was used to confirm a Celestial Dragon's identity.

He had seen these damn nobles use it some times, and he was sure it was a very simple mechanism, considering there was no way they would learn how to do anything complex.

Then he ordered the girls to get ready, and also ordered slaves to to take a huge amount of money and other things with him.

Conveniently, there would be an auction on Sabaody, so he would use this as his excuse to carry so much money with him.

So his group was composed of five very strong men, whose purpose was to carry big bags of gold, and other valuable items.

And, of course, the sex slaves that would follow him everywhere.

Making sure it would all make sense, he made them wear extremely provocative outfits. Silks and lace clung to their forms, strategically revealing and accentuating their figures.

The garments were undeniably beautiful and expensive, but their purpose was to objectify, to mark them as the prized, sensual possessions of a noble.

They kept their heads bowed, not just in feigned submission, but in a shared, silent understanding that they should not say anything that could ruin the plan.

Amidst these sexy women, Arlo acted just as he should, with absolute arrogance. From time to time, he would grope some of the girls, as a justification to keep them close and under his watch.

The scene was extravagant, but far from uncommon coming from a Celestial Dragon, so he didn't get any attention.

"Let's go," he ordered.

Arlo had spent enough time in Mary Geoise and worked in so many different jobs that he knew how most of the security procedures worked.

Leading the women, who followed closely in his wake like a flock of beautiful, silent shadows, Arlo moved toward the nearest exit point.

First off, he just ordered the slaves to give him a ride to the main transfer gate. There should be some needed bureaucracy for a Celestial Dragon to leave Mary Geoise, but everyone was more than used to the fact a Celestial Dragon would never follow the proper procedures.

Getting close to the final gate, he was forced to part way with the slaves that went to be checked upon in another room.

Him, on the other hand, was guided to a big mansion, where an imposing guard was waiting. He finally got to the last step and the only problematic one, because the exit gate was naturally guarded by God's Knights.

Arlo couldn't just brush them off, but he still acted arrogantly, saying he had no time to waste, but the guard didn't seem fazed at all.

"Greetings, honorable Celestial Dragon. Might I kindly request you present your Celestial Stone for the exit registry?" a guard with kind words, but with a threatening tone.

Arlo pretended to be intimidated and surprised by being treated like that, just how he saw other normal Celestial Dragons do when they were faced with God's Knights.

Then, with an imperious nod, Arlo extended his hand, revealing the stone. The officer, without touching it directly, passed a scanning device over it.

A blue glow emanated from the apparatus, confirming the stone's authenticity and, by extension, the identity of the supposed Celestial Dragon. Varnel's name appeared on the screen, and the officer recorded the departure with a hurried script.

"All is in order, my lord. Your slaves have also been checked." The knight said. "You must just wait a bit, so my superior can accompany you to Sabaody."

The man was smiling, but Arlo didn't like the situation at all. He knew this was the biggest risk point in the escaping operation so he wanted to get done with the God's Knights as soon as possible.

Besides, he could notice a hint of suspicion in the man's eyes. Maybe he had done something wrong?

Knowing it was very likely that the high-ranking noble who came would investigate him somehow. Besides, he was already planning to use the scroll here anyway..

So Arlo decided to use his strongest card.

He activated the Hypnotic Scroll, and for a second time, the world around him froze. A blank system screen appeared in front of him.

The man had already used the scroll once, so he knew how it worked. He simply had to imagine the command, and the words he envisioned would appear on the blank screen.

[The guard will let me go and will not inform his superior that I've ever been here.]

The glowing words appeared, but a moment later, the system replied:

[The enemy has strong mental resistance. You can't realize this hypnosis. Try something less impactful.]

Arlo sighed. He kind of expected that. For example, trying to hypnotize someone powerful into killing themselves was impossible, the mind simply wouldn't accept it.

But even if it was someone like Shanks, using hypnosis to make them take a sip of wine would be easy, because it was something they'd likely do anyway.

So, Arlo tried a different approach.

[Make the man believe he's in a real shortage of time. He has urgent matters to deal with and can't waste time with me.]

The screen flickered.

[It's possible.]

[Please, user, confirm activation of the Hypnotic Spell.]

Arlo selected Yes.

A faint ripple crossed the air. The guard blinked, frowned as if remembering something urgent, and then muttered,

"Tch! I don't have time for this," before rushing away. "You can go."

Arlo exhaled in relief. "That worked better than expected."

Without wasting another second, he went to where his slaves were, and then led them out of the alley.

A slave quickly came to them, guiding them through the mechanisms to go to Sabaody.

And soon the Sabaody Archipelago began to rise into view. They had finally reached Sabaody.
