The kingdom's capital glittered beneath countless mana lamps, its marble streets glowing softly beneath the moonlight. Citizens continued their lives, blissfully unaware that beneath their feet lay ancient tunnels capable of swallowing entire caravans.
Inside the Royal Palace, however, the mood couldn't have been more different.
Prince Victor Gandhal stood before the large windows of his private office, dressed not in ceremonial robes but in a dark navy military uniform embroidered with silver threads. His usually composed face was unusually solemn.
Behind him stood Bahamut's group. They had just returned from investigating the underground passage. Everyone's expressions were serious.
Victor finally broke the silence.
"I've called an emergency meeting."
Sel looked up.
"With whom?"
Victor turned around.
"The Five Great Families. They deserve to know."
Bahamut immediately shook his head.
"No."
Victor blinked.
"No?"
