Synopsis
This is a translated version of my original story written in Portuguese. English is not my primary language, so minor inconsistencies in grammar or phrasing may occur. When a man is reborn in a new world and awakens to the magic that exists within it, his curious mind — shaped by knowledge from many different universes — refuses to accept ready-made answers. Questioning by nature and driven by an unending pursuit of understanding, he begins to analyze, test, and explore the limits of this world. Will his curiosity shape the world… or consume it? And in the end, how will the world respond to him?

Chapter 1 - A New World!

I do not know how it happened. But I was reborn in another world.

At first, I thought I had gone back in time, since everything looked medieval.Because of that, I decided to live as normally as possible, making sure not to show any strangeness or abnormal intelligence — just an ordinary child.I could not risk being accused of witchcraft or something demonic.

I lived like that for four years.

Until I heard a traveling merchant say a word that changed everything:

"Alagaësia."

That name awakened memories I used to revisit only to escape boredom — the books of the Inheritance Cycle.Profaned by the Eragon movie, perhaps, but still a world of Dragon Riders, elves, and magic.

It took me some time to accept what I had discovered. To learn more and eliminate my doubts, I began paying close attention to any story, gossip, or news brought by traveling merchants.

The reason was simple: the village where I live is Carvahall.

I found no child named Eragon. There was no storyteller called Brom. But I did see a young farmer named Garrow, recently married.

With that, I gained a rough idea of the timeline.

Lying in bed, there was only one question left.

What now?

I know what is supposed to happen — or maybe I do not.My very existence is already a variable outside the original plot.

This is real life, not a book where an author can erase a line or rewrite a chapter.

It is entirely possible that something will change.Eragon might never come to Carvahall.Saphira's egg might never arrive.

But after discovering that this is a world of magic, living an ordinary life no longer felt right.

For now, I will begin to strengthen my body — lightly at first, since this body is only four years old.It is better to prepare physically, since magic consumes stamina.

Nearly three years passed.

Now, close to my birthday, my physique is at the peak for my age.

I began helping my father at the carpenter's workshop as strength training, making all of it seem like nothing more than a very active child.

I also learned from the villagers how to skin animals and tan leather — nothing professional, but enough to know the basics.I learned to track and hunt; my aim is still poor, but it is improving.

Recently, I even started forging — just crooked nails for now.But it is a beginning.

Through all this, I discovered something about myself.

I love learning.I love building things with my own hands.

I find genuine satisfaction in every finished task and every piece of knowledge gained. That never happened in my previous life.

Perhaps it was the pressure.Perhaps the rigid systems where everyone is forced to learn at the same pace — leading to boredom and disinterest.I do not know.

Now, I feel confident enough to begin studying magic.

Over the years, I gathered theories from many different worlds, observing their similarities.Paper is extremely expensive here, so I wrote my ideas on clay tablets to compare them.

In the end, I had formed a small clay library.

Hidden inside a small cave I

Returning to my research on magic:

After comparing the methods of magical awakening, they all shared one common principle.

The mind.

Whether it is about finding one's core or drawing magic from the environment, everything begins with the mind.

That led to my second line of research:

Meditation.

Something that is also used in this world to sense one's magic.

I had already decided to wait until I turned seven, so for now, I had to restrain my enthusiasm.

After all, there is still the possibility that I might not have any magical aptitude at all.
