Chapter 12 - A really strange dream (4)

"Wow. Ah ha ha. I'm coming, I'm coming."

Alex chuckled his voice deeper and more relaxed now.

Step.

He took a step forwards as a few orbs pushed at his back.

Step.

And few lead him.

But where now?

Well, he had asked the Lord for what was to be done next and so...

The orbs filled out that part of Him.

A faint worry tingled in his mind but disappeared as fast as it hit him.

His almost worried died out quickly and his smile returned where it should be.

Besides.... he'd been running about like a madman in this place for a while.

What more of a litlle walk couldn't he endure and now, now that he knew that 'He' was also a part of this... he had let go of this little and looked forward as he ventured into the void that no longer felt like it an invisible wall that hindered him from advancing.

And speaking of worry....

Thud, thud, thud.

Knock, Knock.

Scrrrrr, Bam!

"ALEX!"

Two joyous masculine voices boomed as we now see that it was Oliver and Dave who had arrived or rather jumped into the room with the room like as if they were here to surprise someone.

And that someone was Alex.

Who was actually....

"Huh?"

"A-Alex... wh-why isn't he..."

The boys once joyful aura soon dampened into a shocked and scared one as they gazed upon Alex.

His body.... was....

"H-hah?"

Small.

Step.

Pale.

"Wh-"

Skin wrinkled.

Step.

His breathes present yet barely able to make even the slightest sound.

"What the fu- What the actual F**?!"

His eyes sunken beyond the normal case.

"Alex!"

"Why is he like thiiiis?"

Dave and Oliver cried furiously.as their trembling hands rand over Alex's body not touching him.

For they feared that if they did...

Drip!

His condition would only get worse.

"Hey guys."

A small feminine called out to the two whose heads instantly snapped in her direction.

Surprise was written on their faces as they soon realized that they had just rudely barged into a room full of people that beared an almost similar or even greater grievance for Alex than they did.

"Mr. and Mrs. A. How are you?"

Oliver nervously greeted Alex's parents.

"Haha... you still call us that Oli?"

A dim masculine voice mused at Oliver as we now see a man. Who seemed be in his early 40s. He had black and grey waxed. His physique was nothing short of his overwhelming appearance. He looked to weigh about 290 kilos. His skin was a simple ebony, and his eyes were a deep dark brown that marveled effortlessly under the afternoon light.

And when stood to shake hands with he stood at a surprising 200 cm or more tall. That is to say when he stood his head seemed to be 3 inches or less away from the roof. He wore a simple long-sleeved shirt and long black trousers that had simple fade to the black as he also wore simple brown leather sandals.

When Oliver shook hand with him, he thought, 'Wow, still the same old roughness even from a few years back.'

"Mrs. A I how long have you guys been here?"

"Sadly, a few hours now. The doc said that we could come and check on him for no more than 30 minutes and leave after."

A soft aged feminine came from behind Mr. A as we now see Mrs. A, the mother to Alex.

Her presence was all but elegant as she wore a decently baggy dress that was designed with pink, blue and yellow flowers all over. The dress itself was worthy of praise as is sustained a baggy or lose fabric as well as being well enough to resist careless movement and or freely blowing winds. This promoted a deep sense of fashion and decency all at once.

Mrs. A looked to be her mid-thirties. Her skin a soft cashew, her hair was deep brown color much a like to Jena's hair. She stood a height of about 180 cm. Her eyes bore a golden-brown color and a thin almond shape. Her physique was nothing but close to admiration as she bore a curvy physique much like Jena's and the indifference was that her breasts were of a smaller size. Her lips were a wide shape, and she wore simple leather sandals as well.

Alex's parents looked nowhere near an innocent old couple. Rather they possessed an aura of elegance and humility that almost made them look like a rich couple in disguise.

Jena also sat in the room, but her face was pale though waxed in Vaseline.

Her attention was nowhere in the room. She stood up and walked to Alex's bed as she then grabbed his pale, thin, sickly hand and knelt down and prayed.

"She's...."

Oliver lingered as Mr. and Mrs. A nodded in response.

"What are y'all just doing there standing like statues...."

Dave said as he knelt beside Jena and finished, "If it were any of us... he would be praying us until his visitation timed ceased."

He then closed his eyes and prayed.

The rest followed as Mrs. A began to slowly whimper as she whispered, "Please come back... Alex... we need you..."

"We- need you. We need you."

"Huh?"

"Please come back... Alex."

Alex paused and turned his head to his left and shifted his upper abdomen a bit as he stared into the sky of the void with a hint of confusion on his face.

It like as if someone were calling to him.

"What... what was-"

Wu!

An orb bumped into his back as he stumbled forward. Nearly tripping over at that.

He wanted to ask himself what that voice from before was or who was it that was calling his name, but....

"You're getting stronger, aren't ya?"

What he had to concern himself with right now was that the longer the distance they moved.... the harder each bump on his body became and the faster the leading orbs got.

He didn't ponder for on this. For he feared that the next bump he might receive would send him packing.

So, he got back up from squatting while thinking and continued to move forward.

He looked at the orbs and then his legs and hands and thought, 'Ten fingers... ten toes, but only ten orbs....'

'Twenty can possibly much up with ten... unless I were to divide by two perhaps, but two orbs...'

"Nah there are three diff colors of the orbs, so it's got to be me tripping, right?"

He looked the orbs that didn't answer as they continued move as he moved.

"Tsk, damn little fellas."

He sneered jokingly.

But all this failure to put things together made him wonder....

"Are we connected somehow?"

As soon as he uttered that thought from his mouth, the orbs paused.

"Huh? Why did you guys stop?"

He mused at the orbs. Silently hovering in the air as they hummed rhythmically.

The orbs after what felt like a long while hummed louder and then began to move.

They floated into the air. About 8 feet high and organized themselves into a horizontal circular shape.

They then began to move and rotate. As they did so, they turned faster and faster and faster and faster and faster and faster until.... a blinding white light seemingly enveloped the entire void.

"Ah.... too bright too bright too bright too bright!"

Alex closed his eyes and struggled to keep the light seemed like it could literally burn one's eyes slowly and slowly and slowly and then fully faded away.

When he put his hands and opened his eyes.

Whatever he gazed upon made his heartbeat and his blood race. Not in fear.

Not in panic.

Not even in excitement, but rather....

"Hu hu hu..."

"My Lord, is this what it's come to?"

He chuckled as he then stepped forward and added, "Well, whatever it maybe..."

He said as he then walked and settled in the middle of the circle that the orbs made and a A faint light beamed down on him. Now illuminating him, the orbs and...

Somethings, that symbolized the end of this empty dream he had.

A composed relaxation that spread through his while body while symbolizing that this dream was to come to an end.
