The monsters did not approach Andrew. In fact, they did not even get close to him once he had taken out the one who ate the beacon.
Andrew sighed, but he did not chase after those monsters. He had more important things to worry about.
"Let's see. If the system can sense the beacon, it should pick up on it…"
Andrew turned his eyes toward the boss and paid much more attention to its dead body. The fact that the dead monster had not disappeared pointed to only one fact-it still had some use, or Andrew was missing something.
So he carefully observed the monster, only to come up short again. But on this third try, he finally got what he was missing.
"The beacon… so it's still here."
Andrew retrieved his knife before he tore the monster's chest apart and took out the shining beacon.
The body beneath his feet immediately disintegrated.
