When we arrived back at the campsite, the fish had already been roasted. Mother had started sharing them, giving everyone one each. There were ten fish in total, and all of them had been successfully cooked.
After giving everyone theirs, including me, three extra fish remained.
"Long'er, these are the remaining fish. I'll leave them for you to sort out," Mother said. With that, she went back to her spot and sat with her children, enjoying her fish.
I stared at the three fish and pouted. Then I turned to look at Fu Sheng, who was quietly eating his fish, his face completely blank.
I stood up and went to sit beside him. But as soon as I sat close, he moved slightly away, leaving a small gap between us.
I just smiled.
He doesn't know how stubborn I can be.
I moved closer again. This time, I was so close that our bodies were almost touching.
"Hubby, why are you avoiding me? Don't you know it makes me sad?" I said softly.
