"Who?" The knight sergeant asked.
The Commander frowned. He thought. Haven't they already reached the same conclusion?
He did not bother with them anymore and turned towards Myles.
He asked, "Myles—"
He paused when his eyes widened. The Veridictum Coil's runes seized and glowed a sharp gold. The central thread vibrated and emitted a low audible humming.
It only means one thing.
It recognized a lie.
The Commander panicked. He turned towards the knight sergeant, who was the last Blood Knight to converse to him.
Realizations dawned on him.
He asked anxiously, "Do you know who?"
"It's me." Myles' voice echoed beside him and he reacted immediately.
However, hands after hands manifested from the shadow and grabbed every part of his limbs.
He was utterly shocked.
He was stronger and managed to repel some of them. His blood armor conjured spikes, too. Yet, the shadows were annoying. They glued to his blood armor and to get rid of them required immense demonic energy.
