Chapter 13 - 12

Moving Out

Eunice POV

We had finished fishing, and it was already morning. I decided to have the couple stay in the RV while I cleaned up the cave. I pulled the RV into my space while the kids were inside the cave packing their things.

"Babes, are you all done?" I called out from the entrance of the cave.

"Yeth," Eros answered, and I saw him running around with a bag of toys.

"Silly Roro," I said, kissing his head.

"Roro shilly," he copied, toddling behind me.

"Roro and Nini's secret, shhhh," I whispered, putting my index finger to my lips.

"Shhh," Eros nodded, covering his mouth.

I put the things in my room, packing everything one by one, making sure everything was in storage in the same condition. After that, I locked the door with Eros in my arms, looking at me with amazement. I then entered Tom and Gen's room, packing important stuff while storing things like furniture, clothes, gadgets, and baby stuff. After that, I locked their room and entered the kids' room with Eros, making sure everything was packed. I told the kids to go to the RV, and Fifi and Lia guided them inside. I packed the living room, kitchen, and study area, making sure I packed everything into my space because these things could be used for trade or when we moved again.

"This pool must be useful; it helped the twins and Tom gain abilities," I whispered, crouching down by the pool and putting my hand in the water as I absorbed it.

I was shocked when I put the water into my space; I followed it as it entered the river in my space, and the water changed into a bluer, clearer water. This must be special water if it can be absorbed like this, I thought. I then took the stones from the cave too as I organized my things. After entering the RV, I put rocks in front of the cave's entrance where the metal door was and removed the rocks upstream to make the water flow gush down heavily.

"Settle down, I will be driving to fetch your nephews," I called out as I helped the smaller kids into the dining chairs, buckling them in.

"Sissy, are we moving to the apartment?" Fiona asked while buckling herself.

"Yeah, and our beds will be delivered tomorrow too," Max said while helping Lia buckle up.

"Then the books I bought will arrive?" Lia asked as Max sat beside her as I started driving once the kids were buckled and settled.

"Of course, you can also get the mini-lab toy," Max said as he paid attention to Dahlia, and I watched them in the rearview mirror.

Third Person POV

"Fifi, cookie please," Dahlia asked, trying to reach it.

"Let me," Max volunteered. He took a pack of the biscuits the little girl loved, opened it, and gave it to her along with an apple juice box.

"Thank you, brother," Dahlia smiled, holding the box of juice and the pack of biscuits.

"Eat up," Max said, blushing as he hid it behind a pack of chips.

"Mash Roro want too," Eros called, pulling Max's arm and pointing to the pack of chips in his other hand.

"No, Sissy Nini said no chips. Here, eat this one," Fiona said as she passed over a container with six dividers holding three flavors of yogurt snack and three flavors of puffed rice snack.

"Otay," Eros agreed. He happily hugged the container as Max carefully helped him open it.

"We're here. Just stay in there. I will go fetch Gen and Tom. Don't open the door if it's not us, okay?" Eunice said as she got out of the RV, walking towards the clinic to help them with their bags as they got into the RV.

"Thanks, Noona," Thomas said as he helped his girlfriend and child.

"No problem. Gen, sit here," Eunice called as she helped Genie with the baby carrier towards the back of the passenger seat. Thomas sat beside Eunice, operating the GPS again.

"Unnie, are we moving to the apartment?" Genie asked Eunice while they drove to the next city where the apartment was located.

They drove to the next city, which was about 20 miles (32 kilometers) away from the countryside they had been staying at, plus the distance from that city to the apartment's location in a suburban area, around 7 miles (11 kilometers). When they reached the next city, it was almost morning, so they decided to go to the nearest courthouse.

"Are you both sure you want to get married?" Eunice asked while getting out of the driver's seat after parking under the building's shadow.

"Yes, I don't want any other woman," Thomas said sternly, nodding.

"I won't fly a thousand miles just to be his girlfriend, Unnie," Genie said, joking.

"Promise me that if you want to break up or have a fight, solve it and talk it out first," Eunice said while climbing up to her room.

Eunice went into her room and took out a fancy white maxi dress with a square neckline, puffed sleeves, and a ruffled skirt. She also took out a luxurious black suit along with a nice pair of black penny loafers and black socks.

"Go take a shower. I'll schedule a wedding later," Eunice said as she pushed Thomas into the bathroom while helping Genie wash up a bit.

"Unnie, I can't take a shower, but can I at least wipe my body?" Genie asked while standing up.

"Yeah, I have dry shampoo in the bathroom; use it. Can you do your makeup and hair, or do I hire someone for you?" Eunice asked while opening her phone and carrying the newborn Nathaniel in her arms.

The three of them got busy while the three kids showered after Thomas. Eunice helped them change their clothes and do their hair, and she gave the girls flower baskets. Dahlia wore a green one-shoulder dress with a puffed skirt, Fiona wore a pink one, and Nica wore a lavender one. The two boys wore button-up shirts and black slacks, matching the black loafers like Thomas.

"Unnie, I'm done. Can you help me with my dress?" Gen asked as I tied my hair into a messy bun and walked towards Gen.

"You look so beautiful, Gen," Eunice said in amazement as she helped zip her dress.

"Thank you, I love it so much. Even with a big belly, it looks so good," Genie said as she fixed her hair.

"Right, here," Eunice said, passing down a box of diamond jewelry with a simple white veil embroidered with white roses at the end.

"Aww, really?" Genie said as she teared up.

"Yeah, my wedding gift will be this one. I wish you a happy marriage. No matter what happens, I will be here for the three of you," Eunice said softly as she hugged Genie.

"I really appreciate all your care, Unnie. You've been a big help to the three of us, and I promise to be your strength when you get tired," Genie promised, holding back her tears.

"Can you wear heels?" Eunice asked while checking her watch.

"Yeah, just not tall ones," Genie said while applying setting spray and putting in contact lenses.

"Alright," Eunice said as she gave her white block heels.

|In the Courthouse|

"Good morning, everyone. This is such a joyous private time with the relatives and kids," said Judge John.

"Good morning, Judge," everyone greeted as they settled down.

"The step that each of you are about to undergo is one of the most important events in life that any two people can undertake. It is the entering into a union, a union between a man and a woman founded upon mutual respect and affection. Because of this unique relationship that you both are voluntarily partaking in, your individual lives will change, and, resulting from this change, your responsibilities will intensify significantly, but your joy will also intensify significantly if you are sincere with your pledge that you are about to make to one another today," Judge John said as he looked at the couple in front of him.

They both nodded, listening carefully to what the judge said while Eunice and the kids kept taking pictures of the whole wedding. To ensure the process was filmed, Eunice had placed filming cameras all over the place and hired a videographer outside with a cardboard sign on his back.

"Thomas, since it is your sincere desire to become the husband of Genie, please repeat after me," Judge John said.

"I, Thomas Jeong, take you, Genie Hans, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. I will love and honor you all the days of my life," Thomas and Judge John said together as Thomas looked into Genie's eyes.

"Genie, since it is your sincere desire to become the wife of Thomas, please repeat after me," Judge John said.

"I, Thomas Jeong, take you, Genie Hans, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. I will love and honor you all the days of my life," Genie and Judge John said together as Genie started to tear up and her voice cracked.

"Do you have rings to exchange?" Judge John asked.

"Yes, I have them," Eunice said, passing the box of 24-karat white gold rings.

"Alright, Thomas, please place the ring on Genie's finger and say: With this ring, I thee wed."

Both Judge John and Thomas said together as Thomas slid the ring onto Genie's finger.

"Now Genie, please place the ring on Thomas's finger and say: With this ring, I thee wed."

Both Judge John and Genie said together as Genie slid the ring onto Thomas's finger.

"Let these rings be given and received as a token of your affection, sincerity, and fidelity to one another. Inasmuch as Genie and Thomas have consented together in wedlock and have witnessed the same before this company and pledged their vows to each other, by the authority vested in me by the State, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Thomas, you may now kiss your wife," Judge John said as everyone clapped their hands, watching them kiss.

Eunice passed an envelope to Judge John as she shook his hand, thanking him as they took pictures. After that, she also asked if he could help finalize the adoption papers and house registration for the kids and adults.

"Come on, let's head home and enjoy the feast," Eunice said as she paid the camera guy, asking him to send the video to her email.

"I am starving, wife," Thomas happily called Genie, holding baby Nathaniel as they stepped into the RV after the little ones.

"Me too," Genie said shyly while sitting in the passenger seat.

"Come on, my love, my cutie love," Tom said, hugging his son as he sat beside Genie.

"Did you already finish the name changing process?" Eunice asked while starting the RV.

"We finished the process with the judge's help. It was done in a minute," Genie replied as she picked up the infant carrier.

Eunice POV

Before driving to the apartment complex, we stopped at a luxurious restaurant. We ordered steak, salads, cakes, pasta, meat dishes, and wine to celebrate the newlyweds. Afterward, I drove straight to the suburban area where the apartment complex was located.

Pulling up to the tall, exclusive gate, I rolled down my window. I took out my ID, proof that I owned a penthouse in Building A of E. Apartments, sharing the top floor with two other families.

"Good evening, Ma'am," the guard smiled as I handed him the ID.

"Good evening, sir. It's me again. Did the furniture company come?" I asked, taking the ID back after he'd checked it.

"Yes, ma'am. They just arrived a few minutes ago. I think they finished about an hour ago with the company's interior designer," the chubby guard smiled.

"Thank you. Tom, go give these brothers some bags of food," I smiled, calling out to Thomas and pointing to the cabinet where we'd stored the newly bought food.

"Yes, sis," Thomas stood up, handing Nathaniel to Genie. He grabbed a few bags as I opened the door for him.

"Ah, we can't receive that, ma'am. This will get us in trouble," a tall guard said after checking the entire RV.

"No, we just had a wonderful event. My brother got married, and I want to share the happiness," I smiled, gently pushing the bags into their arms. I closed the window and waved goodbye.

I parked the RV by the apartment entrance, letting everyone get off with their backpacks and luggage. After unloading, a bellhop loaded our things onto luggage racks. I drove out the gate again, saying I'd return the RV. I hid it by parking it in the nearest alley. I then took a taxi back to the building. When I arrived, everyone had finished putting the luggage back.

"Come on, why did you wait for me?" I laughed, seeing them still sitting in the lobby with the luggage racks and the bellhop.

"We wanted to go up with you so we could enjoy the new apartment together," Genie said happily, standing up with Tom's help.

"Such a poor family, ahaha," a young lady dressed in luxury brands laughed, looking down at us. Her voice sounded like metal scratching.

"Sissy, should we go up now?" Fifi asked, ignoring the young lady.

"I'll just register our names at the reception desk," I smiled while picking up Eros.

"Roro sheepy shishi (sissy)," Eros yawned, laying his head on my shoulder.

"Get some sleep, then. I'll carry you," I whispered, walking straight to the reception desk.

"Hey, poor woman, I came first!" the young lady shouted, shoving me out of the way.

"Ohh," I looked down at her before moving aside. I took out my golden ID card.

"Miss, I'm sorry, but Miss Maurice is a VVIP," the receptionist said as she took my ID.

"Are you sure? She looks like someone who doesn't have money. Maybe just a sugar baby," the young lady said, looking me up and down.

"Babe!" a familiar, short, fat old guy without a neck waddled towards the young lady. (A/N: Think of Big Ed from 100 Day Fiancé)

"Hi, I just want to return the key. I already changed the door," I said politely as I signed the papers.

"Thank you, Miss. Just call us if you have any problems," the receptionist smiled while the young lady stomped her feet.

"Babe, look! She pushed me out of the line! I was here first," the young lady whined.

"Mr. Brown, nice to see you once more," I smiled at the short guy.

"Oh, Miss Maurice, is the furnishing of your house done?" Mr. Brown asked, looking up at me.

"Yeah, the company you recommended did well," I smiled as I moved to the side when he signed the papers.

"I'm glad to be of help. And with your pay, I was able to rent an apartment here," he smiled as I nodded.

"That's nice. Is she your wife?" I asked, looking at the haughty young lady.

"No, no, just a side chick I pay to keep," he said, shrugging.

"I see. Just a mistress acting all mighty. In short, a prostitute," I whispered, making sure only the lady heard.

"I am not, you bitch!" the young lady said through gritted teeth.

"Anyway, it's nice to meet you again, Mr. Brown. I have to go. The kids must be tired," I smiled at him as I walked towards the exclusive elevator only for VVIP members.

"Next time you act haughty, make sure you're someone legal. You're just a kept prostitute. And before you scream you're not, he gifts you for sex and pleasure. Isn't that the same as getting paid?" I whispered to the young lady as I walked into the elevator, tilting my head to the side and waving with my fingers with a taunting smile as the elevator door closed.

"That's cool," Tom said, laughing with Genie, who was trying to cross her legs not to bleed out.

DING!

The door opened just as a middle-aged couple was about to get on the elevator. I apologized to them.

"I'm sorry, excuse us," I smiled at them as we walked out with the bellhop towards our apartment.

"It's okay," the lady said as they walked into the elevator.

When we entered the room, I asked the bellhop to help us put the bags and luggage in the living room. I gave them a few $100 bills as a tip. Walking in, I locked the door. We put the bags and luggage in the rooms. I then asked Genie and Tom to cover their eyes as I took Nathaniel from Genie's arms.

"Okay, now walk with me," I said as the kids held each other's hands, pulling them into their room.

"Surprise!" the kids shouted, and I covered Nathaniel's ears.

"OMO! Unnie, really?" Genie said excitedly, hugging my waist and rubbing her face on my shoulder.

"Noona, you don't have to give us such a large room," Tom said, hugging me as he started crying, making Genie cry as well.

"This is my main gift for your wedding: a room big enough for you and Nathaniel. I also made sure to put three air conditioning systems plus an air cooler here for your comfort. Just heal well and grow happy together, and I will do my best to help you live comfortably as your elder sister," I smiled, kissing both of their heads like I do with the little ones.

"Unnie, you may not be my real blood sister, but in the short time I've known you, I've felt loved and cared for like from a mother, sister, and friend," Genie said as she sobbed loudly.

"Me too, Noona. You even opened your heart for me, a stranger, when I told you my story. You listened and helped me out with my grandparents, not just as a sister figure but also like a mom. You guided and helped me be better and do what makes me happy. Your support was all I needed to know I wasn't alone all this time, and you showed me a better way and view of life. Most importantly, you helped me find Genie, and I will be forever grateful, Noona," Tom said, sobbing as he kneeled in a kowtow.

"Hey! Stand up! What am I, your ancestor, to bow? Stand up!" I said, moving aside from the area where he'd kowtowed.

"Give that to your wife, then I'll accept the second one," I added when he moved.

"Hahaha, babe, you're making Unnie uncomfortable! Stop," Genie laughed in the middle of her sobs as she helped her husband up.
