Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Shock at the Supernatural

---o---

["The architecture here is so peculiar... Is this a world within the Sea of Quanta?"

Elysia looked around, full of curiosity. Faced with a strange new world, she felt not the slightest fear or worry, but rather a profound excitement.

Gradually, as the young woman emerged from the lush forest, a bustling metropolis appeared before her eyes.

"Wow, it's so beautiful!"

In her eyes, Fuyuki City at night was like a vision from before the Honkai outbreak. Although it lacked some of the splendor she remembered, for someone who had not seen a bustling city in many years, Elysia found it unbelievably beautiful.

Indeed, the city before her, built against a mountain and dotted with sloping roads, held countless scenic views.

Such a beautiful city must surely hold many fun things. Most importantly, Elysia could not sense the presence of Honkai.

A world without Honkai... what a wonderful world that must be. Can humanity... live here in happiness? Could the paradise of her ideals exist in this world?

At this thought, Elysia could no longer contain her excitement. She leaped down towards the city before her, flying into its heart.]

The Oldest King: "Oh? A visitor from another world? It seems this war has finally become a little more interesting..."

At the Tohsaka residence, a golden figure sat enthroned. Beside him, an elegant man in a suit stood respectfully.

Inwardly, he too was silently observing the screen. Though he did not know who the young woman was... he was all too familiar with Fuyuki City. On the eve of the Holy Grail War, how could such a development occur...

Judging by the power she displayed in her leap, even if she wasn't on par with the King before him, her strength was surely beyond what an ordinary Servant could handle.

"Fuyuki City?"

Within the Einzbern castle, Emiya Kiritsugu, who was investigating information on the Holy Grail War's Masters, instantly grew vigilant upon seeing this scene.

Fuyuki City was the stage for the Fourth Holy Grail War. Normally, a transmigrator like Elysia would be unable to interfere with the war. However... her appearance in Fuyuki City at this time—this young woman who appeared to be of the fey race—would inevitably have an impact should she intervene.

The moment Fuyuki City appeared on the screen, many in the Type-Moon world began to take this matter seriously. While something like a transmigrator was strange in their worldview, it wasn't impossible, but...

The Fourth Holy Grail War involved many things; the slightest misstep could have enormous consequences. Moreover... with a transmigrator like Elysia appearing, did Gaia and Alaya have no reaction at all?

As the two Counter Forces of the Type-Moon world, shouldn't they have directly expelled or eliminated such an outsider?

---o---

Just as the Type-Moon world was shaken, the screen suddenly shifted to another scene.

[In the dead of night, two women cautiously arrived at a pier, scanning their surroundings.

"You've come."

A man's voice echoed from the darkness.

A handsome man holding a long spear walked out slowly, his every move exuding an oppressive aura. He looked up, his gaze sharp and steady as he stared at the two women before him.

The blonde woman shielded the white-haired woman behind her and stepped forward.

Seeing this, the rather handsome man before her chuckled lightly. "I've been parading ostentatiously through this city all day, yet no one was willing to show themselves. You are the only hero to accept my invitation to battle."

"That pure fighting spirit... You must be Saber, correct?"

The young woman called Saber did not respond, her expression growing much more serious.

Mana surged, air currents swirled, and a white light flashed.

The blonde woman's body underwent a transformation, revealing a scene akin to a magical girl's. Her clothes instantly changed into a set of ladies' skirted armor, predominantly blue and white.

In her right hand, she held an invisible blade. However... for some unknown reason, people could not clearly see what kind of weapon it was...

Under the moonlight, her beautiful face was like that of a living Valkyrie.

"As a knight, how could I remain indifferent after receiving a challenge?" Saber responded in a deep voice.

Lancer smiled upon hearing this and brandished the twin spears in his hands, their shafts whistling through the air with considerable force. "Then, let us begin, Saber."

The two faced off, a great battle on the verge of erupting.]

"Eh, wait, I can't quite keep up. Wasn't this supposed to be Elysia's story? Who are these people?"

The scene change left many viewers bewildered.

This was especially true for people from ordinary worlds. If Elysia's leap towards Fuyuki City was something a normal person could conceivably achieve, then Saber's transformation was already far beyond human capabilities. They had never witnessed such a scene. Saber's transformation left a lasting impression on the characters from slice-of-life series.

A blonde female knight... this was far cooler than any blockbuster from the States. In an instant, the comment section exploded with activity.

Aki Tomoya: "Sugoi! So real female knights like this can exist in the world!"

Yukino Yukinoshita: "Supernatural powers? Did that girl named Elysia transmigrate to such a dangerous world?"

L: "Supernatural power... If such a power exists in our world, then... perhaps it could be used to explain Kira's method of killing."

Conan: "Are you kidding me? Skirted armor appearing out of thin air? Not even the Kaito Kid could do that. It's completely unscientific."

Ai Haibara: "You don't actually think that screen of light and that world-crossing Elysia are very scientific, do you?"

The sudden appearance of the screen of light was enough to put most people on high alert, but... even more shocking than the screen itself was the content it displayed.

"Saber and Lancer? Can a mere clash between mongrels be so eye-catching?"

The King of Heroes sat on his sofa. He had to admit, none of the treasures in his vault could probe even the slightest detail about the screen before him.

His vassal beside him, however, appeared quite perplexed. "Saber and Lancer... I never expected it would be them. But... when did they fight?"

Tokiomi Tohsaka was confused. The entirety of Fuyuki City was supposed to be under Kirei's surveillance. How could something he was unaware of have occurred?

The King of Heroes raised his wine glass and took a light sip. "You truly are useless, Tokiomi. Watch carefully. This is a scene from the eyes of Clairvoyance."

Although the vassal before him was always thinking things he shouldn't, the King of Heroes still chose to answer the question of his currently reverent subject.

Tokiomi, for his part, was stunned by the favor. That the King, whose temperament was as unpredictable as gods and demons, would actually choose to answer his question was something that would have been impossible before.

But... Clairvoyance, an eye that can observe the future? In other words, what this screen was broadcasting was the future of their world?

No wonder he couldn't find any sign of Elysia in Fuyuki City.

Tokiomi Tohsaka was not surprised that Gilgamesh possessed the ability of Clairvoyance. It wouldn't be strange for this king from the Age of Gods to possess any kind of power.

What was surprising, however, was that the King of Heroes, who had always looked down upon the Holy Grail War, would actually use his Clairvoyance to observe it...

No... Judging from the King's prior attitude, he disdained to observe the process or outcome of the Holy Grail War. The only thing worthy of him using his Clairvoyance to observe...

Was it this screen of light...?

Tokiomi thought silently to himself.
