Adriel was not slight bit surprised when a pan almost hit him in the face when he ran across the kitchen. Racine looking at him with a pan and knife in hand while he stood on top of the kitchen table.
"How did you get in?" Racine asked him and Adriel remembered the three crawlers he had squished with his feet earlier by the front door and the blood that lay scattered on his clothes and his body.
He did wear a jacket but despite removing it, bloodstains still clung into his body, "I walked from the front door"
"Is that your blood? Are you injured?" Racine approached Adriel with slight caution, "Your not gonna turn into a zombie were you?" He said clutching the pan tightly, "Did you get bitten?"
"Bitten my ass and I'm older than you had some respect" Adriel nagged Racine before he scanned the area with three crawlers now laying in the kitchen floor.
All three of them show signs of boiling and Adriel with his night vision can clearly see a boiling pot of water.
"What should we do?" Racine asked him and Adriel can't help but see the haunting image of his younger brother looking at him with tired eyes.
"We could hold off here a little longer. Then we wait for rescue" Adriel said remembering the goverment agents taking evacuating all the civilians away awakened or not.
It be best for him and Racine to cool off first while the higher ups do their things how to handle this mess. If Adriel was a bit smarter in politics he would have interfere but he don't exactly know how to lead and much more rule a country.
He indeed could ask for help with the other regressors but he was for sure aware that they too would be busy and would prioritize their own countries.
"But" Racine tried to retort and that is when Adriel remove from his inventory some grocery bags which he handed to Racine to sort.
"I barricade the house you focus on sorting" Adriel ordered Racine before he went away.
"How did you even buy this? Did you shoplift?" Racine questioned but Adriel only turn his head away and drag the dead crawlers.
Adriel with his strength stats lifted multiple furniture stacking them to cover the windows and doors under the cover of the darkness.
He would surely be hunted down later with what he did at the rift in manila but Adriel only shook his head in return he tried his best to wear a mask and jacket, even make a detour and take advantage of the electricity being cut off but there is multiple awakeners in the country just finding someone with a tracking skill would get him found.
At least before he became a bargaining chip he had to collect the powerful awakeners that he met before, also the group he had before.
Not just that Adriel looked at his brother an NPC that he had no idea what to do with.
That's right this world. The world they now live in had turn into some sort of game like with every countries myth turning into monsters along with a few other monsters that resembled those in games.
People became awakened like players, there are item drops, mana, hp and levels too along with NPC like his brother it would have almost sound great if not for no safe zone, no friendly fire and no revives.
NPC can't be healed, they draw monster agro, can't be given potions unlike awakeners that means the old human technology was needed to keep them safe other than that debuff they got awesome skills. Unlimited Mana and Heal that's Racine's ability he can't use it on himself tho, he also can't use status window.
"Was the outside so traumatic. he fr went insane?" Racine muttered to himself watching Adriel chatter with himself, "You do know i could hear you right?" Racine said to Adriel who remain lost in his thoughts.
"He lost it.." Racine narrowed his eyes towards Adriel before spotting another one of those fleshy things closing in towards his brother.
Adriel still out of it crushed it under his feet and begun pacing around kicking it around like a pebble in the road while he mutters some more.
"What the fuck" Racine cursed before he heard his phone buzz and he opened it to see Jetstar's text.
-Bro I awakened as a glass cannon
"Huh?" Racine mumbled replying with.

Racine while texting with Jetstar begun to light some candles that Adriel brought to light up a few corners incase there be a few of those fleshy crawlers around.

Racine rolled his eyes at Jetstar's response he then went and sort all the goods already sorting it out like daily rations.
