Upon entering her room, Olivia looked out onto the balcony to see what Leonard was doing. He and the beautiful young woman were walking in the garden and talking animatedly. Olivia felt very jealous and wanted to throw something at them, but she held herself back as she didn't want to appear crazy in front of her mother-in-law.
Leonard's mother called for Vanessa to separate her from Leonard, as it was most likely that Leonard would have serious problems with Olivia because of this.
One of the servants approached them and said to Vanessa, "Miss, the lady has returned and would like you to go see her."
Vanessa felt very disappointed to have to be away from Leonard, but it seemed she had no choice but to go see the duchess, as she had just called for her. So she said to Leonard, "See you later, thank you very much for keeping me company. It has been a real pleasure to see you again after so long."
She said goodbye to Leonard and followed the servant to where the duchess was waiting for her on the terrace, sipping a cup of tea. When Sarine saw her, she said, "Hello Vanessa, what have you come for today?"
"I came to greet you and chat with you, but since I didn't announce my arrival in advance, they told me you had gone out. Luckily, Leonard kept me company while I waited for your return."
"Oh, how kind of him."
"Yes, we have been reminiscing about the old times."
"I'm glad he could keep you company. I had to go to the city with Leonard's wife to get her a wedding dress. We wanted to have a small wedding ceremony since we couldn't be at the first one."
Upon hearing that Leonard was married, Vanessa felt her heart squeeze in her chest. She had always been in love with him, and that day, seeing him made her very happy as she thought she might have a chance to seduce him. That's why she pretended to stumble in the garden so that he would catch her in his arms.
She couldn't believe that the man she had been determined to have was already married. Vanessa drank a cup of tea with the duchess and then said she didn't feel well and went back home. The shock of finding out that Leonard was married had been too great for her, and she still couldn't fully assimilate it.
Upon hearing that Olivia had returned, Leonard went to see how she was since she had complained in the morning about back pain. However, Olivia refused to see him and wouldn't open the door. He spent a while trying to get her to open the door, but she seemed angry for some reason.
Leonard was waiting for one of the servants to bring him the keys to open the door and enter, even if Olivia didn't want to see him, because he couldn't break the door down since it was his mother's room, and if he did, she would most likely release the tiger, as she loved her house very much.
When the servant finally arrived with the keys, his mother also arrived and asked, "What do you think you're doing?"
Leonard was surprised to see his mother and said, "I want to talk to Olivia, but she seems angry and doesn't want to see me."
"if she doesn't want to see you, there must be a reason. Now give me those keys and go."
"But..."
"Oh, dear son of mine, either you give me the keys or do you want me to take them from you."
Reluctantly, Leonard handed over the keys and left, knowing that it didn't serve him well to anger his mother, as in the end, she always came out on top. So he decided to wait until dinner to talk to Olivia.
When Leonard left, Sarine opened the door. Upon entering, she found Olivia sitting on the bed, hugging her knees. She approached her and sat beside her, and Olivia asked, :Has he left?"
"Yes, if you're referring to Leonard, he has."
"I don't want to see him right now."
Leonard's mother gently stroked Olivia's head and said, "I know. If you don't want to see him, I will make sure he doesn't bother you until you want to see him."
"Thank you very much."
Leonard's mother hugged her with her arms and said, "Don't worry, I'm here for you."
Despite telling Olivia that he loved her, Leonard's interaction with the young and beautiful Vanessa made Olivia feel insecure and a little jealous. In the end, she became angry with Leonard because he had been smiling kindly at Vanessa.
During dinner, Olivia refused to come down. She didn't want to see Leonard. Sarine and Olivia ate in their room, while Leonard and his father ate alone in the dining room. His father asked him when he found out that they weren't coming down.
"And what have you done now?"
"I haven't done anything. I have no idea why she's so angry."
"You must have done something. She wouldn't be so angry that she doesn't even want to see you. You should think about what you might have done to make her angry and apologize."
Leonard couldn't understand why Olivia was angry. She hadn't even wanted to answer him when he went to her room. She simply locked herself in and told him to leave. At first, he thought maybe something had happened to her while he was away. However, his mother was also a little angry with him. Eventually, Leonard started to think about everything her had done that day, and the only reason he could think of for Olivia's anger was that he had been talking to Vanessa.
If the reason Olivia didn't want to see him was because she was jealous, he thought it was a bit excessive. He had only been talking to Vanessa since he had known her since she was a child, but Olivia seemed to be displeased with that.
The next morning, Leonard thought about apologizing to her since he wasn't sure if that was the reason, but he couldn't think of any other reason why she would be so angry. At breakfast, Olivia didn't want to come down, just like at lunch since she still didn't want to see him. He assumed she wouldn't come down for dinner either, so he made sure his mother wasn't with Olivia since she wouldn't let him get close to her if Olivia didn't want to. When his mother went out to the garden, he took advantage and went to the room next to his mother's went out to the balcony. Olivia was near the balcony and was very surprised when she saw him and said to him, "What are you doing here?" And how did you get in?"
"I came to see you since you don't want to leave your room."
Olivia crossed her arms her chest and said, "I don't want to see you, so go away."
Leonard approached her and said, "I'm not leaving until you tell me why you're so angry with me."
"Yesterday, you were happily hugging another woman, so why do you care so much that I'm angry?"
"Ha... So that's why you're so angry."
Olivia turned around and walked away from him and said, "If that's the reason."
Leonard embraced Olivia from behind and said, "She's just an acquaintance an I wasn't hugging her. She tripped and I helped her from falling to the ground."
"It looked like you were hugging her to me."
Leonard turned her around and kissed her, then said, "I'm not interested in any other woman besides you, so you don't have to be so jealous."
"But she was so beautiful, and you seemed so happy talking to her."
Leonard kissed her deeply again and said, "In my eyes, you are the only one."
"Promise me you won't see her again."
"If you don't want to see her, I won't."
Leonard nibbled her lips and made his way into her mouth with his tongue. Olivia let herself be carried away by his kiss and all her anger disappeared. She embraced him, accepting his kiss, and Leonard's mother opened the door suddenly and saw her son devouring Olivia with kisses.
He separated from her side and his mother asked, seeing that the door was still locked, "How did you get in? The door was closed."
"That doesn't matter."
"It seems like you've made up."
"Yes, we have cleared everything up."
"I hope you've learned your lesson and won't flirt with any other woman from now on."
"I wasn't flirting with anyone."
"Well, it certainly looked like it."
"Ha... Whatever, I've already told her that I'm not going to talk to her anymore."
"Let's see how long your promise lasts. Well, I'll leave you alone. See you later, and don't do anything else to her besides kissing."
Sarine left the room and went to find her husband since she hadn't paid much attention to him since Leonard and Olivia had arrived.
Leonard spent a long time with Olivia and they both lay on the bed. Olivia snuggled against his chest, and he asked her, "How would you like our wedding to be?"
"Hmm... I don't know, I would like there to be lots of flowers that day, but it's already autumn, so I guess it will be impossible."
"What else would you like?"
"I don't know, I've never been to a wedding, so I don't know what they're usually like, but I would really like there to be lively music like there was in the city that night."
"You like to dance."
"I find ballroom dancing boring and tedious, but I like lively music."
Leonard kissed her forehead and said "I'll make sure that day is very pleasant for you."
In the end, both of them fell asleep and one of the maids came to call them for dinner. Leonard's parents were very affectionate when they arrived, which had always made him uncomfortable. However, now he did the same with Olivia whenever he had the chance, so he didn't say anything.
After dinner, Leonard's mother said to him, "I have thought that if you want, you can sleep together again."
Leonard knew that his mother changing her mind was because his father had convinced her. Her silently thanked her and told the maids to take Olivia's suitcases back to his room.
Then, they went for a walk in the garden while their parents went to their room. Olivia looked for Vandal, who grew a little bigger every day. She loved spending time with him, and that bothered Leonard a bit since Olivia's pet deeply hated him.
After their walk, they went to their room and Leonard didn't do anything to Olivia that night because she complained that she was still sore from the last time. So, that night, he had to settle only for kissing her and holding her in his arms.
