The Hidden one: The begining

"This is a work of fiction. All character's,places, hotels and events are imaginary"

The Hidden One

Slowly, taking a deep breath, my eyes opened.

I couldn't understand anything—what was happening, where I was, or why all this was happening to me.

But one thing was clear in my mind—

whatever it was, I had to fix everything, no matter what.

Five Months Earlier

My life looked completely normal, just like any other human's life.

Yet, in reality, it was very different.

No one really knew anything about me.

People knew who I was,

but no one knew what I was.

"Noor…"

I turned around.

"Oh—Aunty Lin… you're here?"

"Yes, beta," she said gently.

"I went to the market for a while and saw these fruits. You like them, right?

You help all of us so much, so I thought of bringing these for you."

"Aunty, there was no need for this," I replied.

"And anyway, I help you all because it makes me feel good. There's no other reason."

"Whatever it is," Aunty Lin said,

"you do so much for us—can't we at least care about your likes and dislikes?"

"And one more thing—tonight you'll have dinner with us.

Not just tonight, but from now on, every day."

"Ah… but aunty—"

"No 'but' or 'if'," she said firmly.

"If you don't agree, I'll get angry… hmm."

"O-okay, okay, Aunty Lin," I smiled.

"I understand. Don't be angry—you look much nicer when you smile."

"That's true," she laughed.

"Ha ha ha."

Night – 8:00 PM

I was working on my laptop when my phone rang.

It was Aunty Lin calling.

"Hello beta Noor, where are you? Dinner is ready. Come quickly or it'll get cold."

"Okay, aunty, I'm coming right now."

"Alright, come soon."

"Okay… uff, finally work is done.

Come on, Noor, hurry up—if you get late, aunty will scold you badly."

The doorbell rang.

"Aunty, please open the door, I'm here."

Aunty Lin opened the door.

"Good, you came at the right time. Come inside quickly."

"Yes, aunty."

"You know, I made special porridge for you today.

It's very healthy."

"Oh really? Then that's fine, I'll have it."

"Here you go."

"Beta Liu, come quickly—dinner is getting cold."

"Yes, mom, I'm coming."

TV News

Just then, the TV news started playing—

"This morning, three dead bodies were recovered from Room No. 112 of the 'Golden Lotus Grand Hotel' in China.

The deceased were big businessmen with criminal connections, involved in illegal activities like human trafficking and kidnapping.

Police say that no clue about the murderer has been found yet."

Aunty Lin said,

"Whoever did this did the right thing. People like them don't deserve to live."

"Aunty," I said calmly,

"we shouldn't say that. Everyone does their own work—some good, some bad.

But you're right about one thing—people like them deserve such an end.

God sees everything. Some are punished early, some late,

but everyone is punished eventually."

"Yes, beta," she nodded.

"God sees everything."

Then another news report appeared—

"In the same hotel, a dead body of a young woman was also found in Room No. 106.

Her identity reveals she was a resident of Yunxi city.

Police are investigating why she came here and whether she had any connection with the three men.

Her face has been brutally disfigured."

When the girl's body appeared on the screen, I was shocked.

This was not done by a human.

But the question was—

if not a human, then who?

And why was the girl treated so cruelly?

"Poor girl," Aunty Lin said.

"Who knows who did this and why. Beta Noor, be careful."

"Hm… why?"

"Because you get so busy with work that you don't take care of yourself."

"Ah… ha ha, okay aunty," I replied.

"I'll take care."

Next Day – At Work

I was at my job, but my mind was still stuck on that girl—

who killed her, why she was killed, and who that person was.

"Hello sir," I said,

"will you place an order or should we leave?"

"Noor!" the manager shouted.

"Where are you lost? Customers are waiting!"

"I'm coming."

"If even one complaint comes, I'll cut your salary."

"Salary… cut?"

"Yes."

"Tell me one thing," I replied calmly,

"when did you ever give me my salary that you're talking about cutting it?"

Just then, police officers entered the café.

"Bring us some coffee," one of them said.

I served the coffee.

"How are you so calm?" one officer asked.

"We're stuck in a murder case."

"The girl from Room No. 106?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied.

"How do you know?"

"Sir, I need to tell you something," I said.

"This murder was not done by a human."

"What do you mean?"

"You believe in ghosts and spirits?"

"This was done by a spirit," I said confidently.

Hospital – The Dead Body

The moment I saw the girl's body, everything became clear to me.

"Her eyes…" I said slowly,

"they weren't taken out—

they were emptied from inside."

The officer stared at me.

"How do you know all this in such detail?"

I stayed silent.

Because the truth was—

I am just like that spirit…

Only my identity is still hidden."
