After a thorough investigation, twelve more missing person cases had been successfully linked to the case that was now called 'Barbie Killer'

"I guess it's because those weren't numbers" Chief Simon retorted to Anthony as the whole homicide department sat on a long table to eat after a long meeting.
"But what more can we do?" Anthony muttered, "Why do people seem to hate us more than the criminals we caught?"
The Chief shrugged, "I guess it's just more easy to hate a faceless organization than this rando who we don't even know about"
"Right?" Chief Simon give me a nudge, "What you think about it?"
"The fact someone found a murder before us and even managed to kill a so-called murderer" I muttered softly.
The Chief raised an eyebrow at my words, "That's true"
"Was he perhaps a vigilante?" Anthony said, "If someone is killing other killers won't this make our job easier?"
"What nonsense are you babbling on about" Chief Simon slapped Anthony at the back of the head.
"Oww" Anthony whined, "Come on, Chief"
"Mind your words, you rascal" Chief Simon slapped Anthony's back once more, "Murder is Murder, did you seriously think that somone should have a right to kill anyone just because of so-so?"
"None of us are some kind of omnipotent god to take on a role on who will die or live" The Chief
"Do you have any idea how difficult to handle a person who plays god?" Chief Simon added, "That guy hunts murderers now and then the next thing you know he got a different memo. Different list and all hell would break LOOSE"
"Alright, Alright" Anthony grumbled, "Stupid old man" He whispered under his breath earning another slap at the back from Chief Simon.
"What your smiling at huh?" Anthony turned to me, "Damn, you don't really have much of a parents don't you? Sometimes i even forgot you exist"

Chief Simon then look me in the eye and said, "Maybe it's because huh what's your name again, junior?"
"Loraine Sir" I replied somehow giving my name has never seized to make my heart heavy.
"You know for once i side with Anthony, you indeed don't have that much presence maybe because you still don't know what you want" Chief Simon's eyes locked with mine, "You seem to just drift around into the next thing not really deciding what you want for yourselves"
